Okay, so I want to be nice and friendly, so I try to wish my colleagues happy holidays whenever we have holidays. But it gets kind of hard to know what to say what with all of the different holidays.
For example, it's okay to wish an acquaintance a Merry Christmas and/or a happy new year. But what about something like Valentines Day? Like, suppose I like a girl and I want to let her know that I'm thinking about her on Valentine's Day, but I also want to come off as professional. Is it okay to casually wish her a happy Valentines Day as I'm passing her at work, or does the simple act of saying "Happy Valentine's Day" connote amorous intentions that are inappropriate in the workplace?
Show up to work in nothing but a tight pair of red underwear, big white wings, and a fake halo, and express your undying love for her. I think that would come off as professional.

One bank near me has a sign on it's door saying "The loveliest people in the world walk through this door (and you're one of them)", or something along those lines. And this isn't just Valentines' Day - this is all year round!
