RUSH! The Rush concert in Irvine was the height of my summer this year. They even had a little I Love You man skit complete with Jason Segel and Paul Rudd at the end.
Rush, the band as a whole is very solid, with one of the best drummers of all time, an excellent bassist and a very underrated guitarist. Their only weak spot is vocals, but that's easy to look over if the song's YYZ.

They're both hard rock bands, though. I already know that Rush is hard rock mixed with progressive rock. And Van Halen has some catchy songs, but a better vocalist. Rush makes the better music, imo, though, and they sound pretty unique.
