Vancouver Fans a National Embarrassment.

Of course this doesn't include ALL Vancouver fans. Just the ones who rioted.

Vancouverites awoke Thursday morning to the aftermath of devastating riots that overtook downtown streets shortly after the hometown Canucks were crushed 4-0 in the deciding game of the Stanley Cup finals.

There were stabbings, numerous cars set on fire, and marquee stores looted throughout the downtown area, as police used tear gas and pepper spray to try – mostly unsuccessfully – to quell the ugly outbreak of violence. At least one person is listed in critical condition.The_Globe_And_Mail

But the ones that started it arn't fans... They Started it to cause trouble, just to start something... :(

Seriously guys, we are internationally recognized as one the greatest, best, most world class Cities out there, and you go around destroying it...

i really expected better of vancouver.

I've heard that the trouble makers were mostly comprised of the bandwagon twits that plague every major sports team that starts doing well, so there is some consolation in that, should it be true.

I'm going to take a bet and say a lot of that was caused by anarchists who used the loss as a cover to do their rioting. I am sure some Canuck fans did their share, but not all of them.EliteM0nk3y

Every cheering person in the crowd, every curious person craning their necks to watch a car get flipped, every person taking cell phone pics and posting "omg this is crazy" on twitter... they're ALL to blame.

It was upsetting how few people are willing to help out. Towards the end of the video there was a group beating on that BMW M5 and some girls are trying to fight these thugs off, yet most people just stood and watched.
