According to Verizon, I've sent 3000 outgoing picture messages, totalling to a $300 fee. I have sent maybe one or two pictures within the last month. I talked to their customer service and they say that there is nothing they can do about it. What do I do now? Has this happened to anyone here before?
Phone them back and tell them to void it, and tell them they're insane. I mean, to send 3000 messages, that's 100 a day, or about one every ten waking minutes. Who the hell does that?

One of my friends claims he sends 10k+ messages per month. He never gets off the damn phone.

They could void it but there needs to be some sort of proof that he didn't earn the bill. There is no real proof and their records clearly show that he did do that many texts, even if he didn't. He has no case.

They ought to be able to look over his previous months phone records. If the dude has had service with Verizon for 6 months and has never sent more than two text messages, and then all of a sudden one months bills show 3000 text messages, chances are that he didn't actually send the text messages. What are the odds that someone who doesn't text message at all suddenly decides to do 3000 messages in one month?

Well call back.... dont just settle for anyone.... tell the next person you talk to the situation... and if they say they cant do anything... yes you can get me the next person up from u.... then keep climbing the ladder till find someone who can do something

I seriously doubt that.You have to see the guy to believe it. He literally texts non stop, all day, every day.

I have Verizon as well, I have free ingoing and outgoing text, picture, and video messaging to any service, and about 700 minutes to other services but free to other verizon phones for $59 a month (Most of my friends and family have Verizon, so I never use my minutes). Alot of people say that $59/month is expensive, but its alot cheaper then a possible $300.....

call customer service again and if they say their is nothing they can do again then tell them you want to talk to the manager, then explain it to the manager
Well, first call them! Try and actually see where that bill came from, or how it racked up and when. See if you can get something done about it if you actually didn't do it. Next, contact the Better Business Bureau. After that, I guess pay it.
