Andddddd....its gone. I still dont understand why Russia is begging us to protect Assad? Russia is crazy, how can their people support such an evil dictator. Its also funny Russia is struggling to fight the resistance. Seems the Syrian people really dont like Assad, their willing and able to die fighting against him.

Also, America is not helping nor backing ISIS in anyway. We support Russia and even fund Russia in their fight against ISIS. We also support FSA in their fight against ISIS.

@iandizion713: Probably for the same reason America is backing the Saudi's. A country with a brutal justice system. And that shares little in common with America. But helps keep the region fairly stable.

Just take a closer look at Libya and Syria. How has destabilizing these governments made anything better. Both countries are in shatters, opening way for terrorist groups. And have spawned a huge refugee crisis. If NATO was truly on a justice campaign. They can start by cutting ties with China. A country filled with people fed up with the communist regime. Instead of just going after the little guys, whose countries can't wage a legitimate war with NATO.

@Serraph105: Blame that on the House, they are only ones who can fund foreign organizations with money and other stuff. If you dont agree with it, help vote Republicans out the House. Remember when McCain begged the house to sends weapons to these rebel groups?

Look at this man. McCain was begging for the House to send money. He said, hey, we can get rebel groups to fight our enemies.

Then people said, wtf McCain, what if they then turn around and use them on American soldiers, get this stupid shat out of here.

Also, if anyone tells you McCain wanted to fund ISIS or Al-Qaeda, its a lie. I dislike McCain a lot, but all he was wanting to do was fund the rebels fighting in Libya and Syria. And he was asking the House to act fast.

That picture above is a lie, its just rebels from the FSA. Media will always try to play people.

@iandizion713: Nope. I'm blaming them for making matters worse by arming terrorist cells and providing offensive air support. Just tell me how much better Libya is doing now. It may not be in the news much. But there's no stable government at all last I checked. Terrorist cells have taken over oil fields. People that "fought for freedom", likely jumped on those boats out of Libya to Europe. Leaving homes, businesses, along with family and friends behind.

Same thing in Syria. While Assad is a total jerk. People did owned businesses, homes, and had a decent life. Now you have to go to Damascus, to see whatever health care professionals haven't left if you can make it. Pharmacies are empty of medicine, and pharmacists have also fled. So no one to fill the most basic prescriptions in many small towns and cities. Prices of basic commodities like salt, have skyrocketed. And young men are being kidnapped to join a variety of armed forces by both rebel and government forces.

The government in those countries may have not been the best. But I find it hard to argue people that are living there, are better off. Watching people they know get killed. Or living in ISIS occupied zones, where there is no such thing as freedom.

If Russian wasn't too busy pretending to be Ukrainian and Crimean separatists then they could get boots on the ground in Syria.

@iandizion713: While I am not a fan of dictatorships. Ones that don't pose an international threat, should be left alone. If you see how much money, work, and years went into Iraq after Saddams fall. You can get a glimpse of how much work it takes to rebuild and restructure a country. Work that still isn't complete to this day.

Its why no one dares to invade North Korea. While the regime there is as oppressive as it gets. And waves their guns around to the west. It will be foolish to invade, knowing how vastly under-educated and brainwashed the NK people are. And that someone will have to foot the bill. On what will essentially be one of the largest international welfare programs in the world. And don't count on South Korea on that one. They're already having to cut funding to NK refugees. And have an huge poverty problem for their elderly.

@jak42: I agree Iraq was silly. If you dont agree with Iraq, them help kick Republicans out of office. Republicans are who lied about weapons of mass destruction and that we would be welcomed as allies. And youre right, its a poor strategy attempting to overthrow governments whos people are not fighting back. Would be like Iraq all over again now wouldnt it.

Ya removing people from power in the middle east has proven to be such a great thing right? Iraq and Libya is sooooooo much better now than under their "dictators"

And no America is not currently helping or supporting ISIS but they did , same with France and other western countries who helped "rebels" in syria and libya , who at the time was considered allies.

Or... use the KGB to assassinate people like John Kerry.

Oh Isis. One look at their training videos, and it seems all they know about warfare is watching vhs copies of Commando. 2 jets wont help you when the majority of your force cant even read, you have no air defense capabilities, and an international force with orders of magnitude more aircraft than you. I do not expect much from a group that follows a man who thought an eclipse was the moon splitting in two...for him........

The KGB (or FSB, as it's officially known now) would do better to target the House of Saud and do to Saudi Arabia what NATO did to Libya.

The US, UK and EU would lose one of their most dependable partners in the Middle East and, of course, the oil price would almost certainly soar, benefiting Russia's economy immensely.

A lot of european think america has a brutal justice system as well (allthough less brutal than some middle east countries of course but the culture of europe is closer to the usa than the culture of middle east countries). Europe is probably far from perfect either allthough I can't see anything wrong with europe, well at least not my country, here everything is perfect but I have grown up with these values, so it's hard to be objective in these matters.

Cultures exist for a reason and if there's no revolution or a major cry by the people of that country its not very wise to back nor destabilize a governement. Of course if they go invading other countries that's a different matter.

I wouldn't say republicans were the cause of this (and defenitely not americans in general). saddam hussain and iraqi government was probaly a scapegoat for 9/11, not to mention hussain had some beef with senior bush as well, revenge from george maybe?

On the other hand, it's proven that al qaidae was and is active in iraq. But a big part of isis are probably people from the old hussein governement.

It's certainly not easy to do the right thing in these matters, it's quite obvious when you look how difficult some immigrants with middle east background integrate in western countries.

@commander: Our justice system is more so harsh than brutal. Its plagued more so by long prison sentences, that consume too many resources to effectively do rehabilitative and work training programs beyond getting a GED. Among other things that cost money. Than actual brutal methods of punishment.

Thankfully, there have been movements to provide college education to inmates. And decriminalize minor offenses. With politicians not ignoring the fact that our prison system costs far too much money to run. We have a long way to go. But in many states like New York. Were actually having to close prisons. Or close off huge chunks of dorms and cells for inmates at state level jails.

yeah maybe brutal isn't the right word, it's not like use the whiplash are anything but still being in jail is no cakewalk and the usa puts a lot of people in jail for things that we don't consider illegal. Or at least not illegal enough to put you in jail.

Not to mention we have a lot more rights when it comes to privacy.

But some things would still deserve the word brutal though, like getting shot for resisting arrest for instance. Here to get shot you need to aim a gun at someone. On the other hand in some cases it does seem understandable though, since guns are allowed in the usa. When a cop pulls you over here, chances you will have a gun are slim to none, since guns are pretty much forbidden, especially to have in your car.

The Saudis are protected by America, just like Assad is protected by Russia. Saudi Arabia is America's most important asset in the region, so there's no way America would allow Russia to attack Saudi Arabia. It would be foolish for Russia to even try, since that would be like declaring war on America.

Again, the FSA is just a banner/label used by multiple different factions. One of those factions is the Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by the US. Another faction, the Rojava, are anarchists. But they've been overpowered and overshadowed by other FSA factions, including terrorists, warlords, and criminals.

Well I did say that we think your justice system is harsch but I'm certainly not going to say our culture is better, or that we do things better. I was born and raised here, and so I have grown up with these values. For me it's better but if that's better for an american citizen that is born and raised there it's up to them to say what is best or not.

Let's not forget that americans do make a lot of products that are indegenous to that culture, like games and movies for instance. Heck when it comes to tv and movies the best tv and movies comes from the usa, at least imo. If I couldn't use products from the usa, I would be very bored. Not to mention games, allthough most of time does goes to fifa (and that's made in canada), but I do play it on the xbox, which is an american product.

I also made my job around microsoft products, I actually found a job because my knowlegde of microsoft windows, so I have a lot to thank for because of the usa.

I don't trust any of the FSA groups. They yell that medieval "Allah Akbar" all the damn time. Let Russia bomb them to hell.

Never trust a group of people dress the same, wear the same hats, and who scream and shout the same phrase over each other like parrots.....

The FSA isn't a unified group, but is just a banner attracting all kinds of different ragtag anti-Assad factions, from democrats and anarchists to terrorists and criminals.

LOL wow you people and some of you are so easily brainwashed into believing that FSA have democrats and anarchists.

The FSA arent demcartic.

SDF are not FSA dude.

SA already had an airforce.

The SA airforce is busy bombing the hell out of Yemen.

Massacring, killing children and starvation which is unreported by CNN, BBC, ABC, NBC. Makes u wonder doesn't it?

One should ask. What kind of fucking world are we living in? The UN, the organization that is supposed to protect all nations and help peace, openly admits to being bribed by the Saudis. Says they were under pressure from them so they changed the truth. Why aren’t there riots then? Why aren't we burning every building and place? Why isn't the whole world rioting against itself? What's there left for humanity when even UN isn't honest about their reports because of pressure? How can we trust anything anymore? How can we trust the media when even UN has fallen to those who want to see others suffer? The world is a joke. It's always been. But hypocrisy has never been so high.

@alim298: SA is not at war with Yemen, they are helping Yemen. SA has been getting attacked by those rebels groups in Yemen trying to overthrow Yemen.

Yemen called for help from Saudi Arabia. Also, its not just Saudi Arabia, its a coalition of 9 states including Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain
