Well, that's definately what one should not do in my opinion. I am very religious. When I see these things, I have to ask why can't you love your child and respect their choices in life. Hopefully my son grows up to be both strong physically and spiritually. My wife and I do our best to teach him right from wrong. If at some point (And the point will come) when he makes his own decision on what he believes, My wife and I will still accept him and love him as always (even if he decides to become Atheist). This is what having unconditional love is about and forgiveness. At least this is what I have learned and what following Jesus has taught me.

[QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"]LOL "Believe in god or no presents!"TaegukkiFair enough, it IS a religious holiday afterall. id say its more of a commercial holiday. for instance, christmas is the largest holiday in japan and the vast majority of the japanese arent christian.

couldnt have said it better myself. im atheist myself, my mother is catholic and my dad is atheist from an irish catholic family. and you know what? there is nothing but love in the entire family. it doesnt take religion to make a good person. but that mother believes its the only way. and some day i hope she can see the truth. love for you family is more important than any belief. because without family you have nothing.
Wow. When I told my parents I was an Atheist, they were... well, I can't say "pleased", exactly, but more curious than anything. We had a little religious debate for a little while, and then... well, that was the end of it. My mom, as she puts it, is "the holiest Atheist I'll ever meet" (she believes in a God, but very little in holy books). My dad is more religious (sings in the church choir), but is rather mellow. I got lucky.
But, geeze. The things religion can do to people... ugh...Â

That's besides the point, the same thing happened to Easter as well. Im not complaining about the presents though

Yeah it is kind of paradoxical....
