Views on Country music.

Out of my group of friends I hang out with, I'm the only one who actually likes country music and they bust on me for liking it. I missed out on my one friends 21st birthday because I planned on going to a Eric Church and Kenny Chesney concert way before her birthday, and they still won't let that down that I went to one. What is OTs opinions on country music?

I've never liked it. I can deal with a bit of bluegrass on the rare occaision, but I complete dislike mainstream country.

I don't mind some but in general I dont like to hear about tractors and farmland

i like the newer country thats coming out now. dont much care for the older stuff.

I think it is tacky, derivative, and over patriotic/nationalistic.

Why is it still legal?

Not my cup of tea. But, my dad and sister love it. So, I'm used to it especially when it came to driving music (eg Eddie Rabbit). I know I'll listen to country music first before hip hop/rap. My actual favorite music genres are classic rock and alternative rock.

Avoid at all costs.  I'm deeply predjudiced against it.
