Villains who were in the right

Aside from the obvious Watchman example, any other villains come to mind who were justified?

I was watching "Hope And Fear" and it this fellow (Arturis) was completely justified in wanting them all dead.

Rewatching this, she's kind of an asshole and poor old Arturis was totally justified in wanting her head on a pike.

I mean, for example, I'm a misanthrope, so I naturally always get a certain degree of sympathy for any villain who seeks to give humanity a well-deserved kick up the arse.

Thanos for obvious reasons.

@SOedipus: I would say Thanos had a point, but not that he was in the right. His solution wouldn't even solve the problem, just delay it. Plus, his vision got myopic. The stones theoretically gave him the power of a god, but all he did was enact his temporary solution more quickly. He should have come up with a more permanent fix, like increasing infertility rates so populations stop growing and stay stable.

Yeah, I don't understand the obsession with Thanos being "right". He wiped out literally 50% of ALL LIFE in the universe for no reason other than "they consume too much". Plenty of other comic villains have a twisted sense of "saving people from themselves" by utilizing violence against them.

If we are talking about "good" villains, and sticking with the comic theme, we should go with Magneto and Venom, and if we are going to get really vague about "right" then throw in Galactus as well (he's only a "villain" because he eats entire planets for food).

So, two things. First, the directors confirmed that Thanos wiped out half of all plant life as well, leaving people with the exact same amount of food basically keeping the status quo.

Second, and I always point this out, Thanos could have doubled the resources, hurting no one, and everyone would have been on his side.

Injustice Superman kinda make sense. The superhero world method of catching bad guys, throwing them to arkham or something doesn't work, metropolis even got nuked due to batman being damn lenient on joker. so superman decides to becomes a tyrant and facist to ensure world order. Maybe a higher power is needed for these thing and he is godlike.

Though superhero cliche he had to be ultra facist but it worked for a while.
