Not really, I'm just sick of steriotypical teenagers posting this kind of crap on Facebook. Why is my generation so depressed so early in life? It's sad really.

What annoys me more than anything is is when people post vague negative comments about someone and I worry if they're talking about me or not.JML897That's just as bad, yeah.
I know, right. Some of the people I'm referring to, I've met their parents. Mean stuff I tell yaLack of encouragement from parents. Parents suck these days, not gonna lie on that.

Life is generally easier now, so when someone has it hard they just cant handle it. One of my family friends son killed himself and its such a shame, its outright selfish. They don't understand how much pain they put on everyone around them and only to be pretty much ignored so yeah show the world and kill yourself to get attention or because you think everyone hates you and then once your gone people mourn you, yet life moves on without you. Its a punks way out in my opinion (well except in very rare instances of certain death living with agonizing pain, then I can understand)
Do what I do; unfriend them. I can't f***ing stand teenagers.

But you were one... Does that mean you wanted to kill yourself? This calls for philosoraptor.

Stop using Facebook.

Oh, yeah. I'll second that.
The time will come when people will figure out that they are giving away their private information so they can keep reading about how their stupid friends are having lunch or waiting for the bus. It's like the dot com bubble thing, I'm telling you!

What private information?
Seeing other teenagers complain and being overall obnoxious makes me depressed and want to kill myself.
What private information?

E mail, phone number, all that stuff that's really important. You don't want some Jewish free Mason from Jupiter reading all your important e mails, do you?

Doesn't sound too terrible. The email address linked to my Facebook is only used for Facebook, and I'm sure I can deal with some obnoxious phone calls.
I'm 21, no job, no money, live with parents, barely in college academic suspension. I'm pretty depressed I just don't talk or post about it on Facebook. Which is probably worse but oh well. berserker2389Well you seem to be having fun with that. :P
Maybe some people really have it hard in life? though I agree the majority of teens who do that stuff are irritating, it can be a serious thing though in some cases
I If they think their life is bad, they should try taking a look at lives of people in third world countries. FaithfulBro
I knew this will crop up, always does.
Anyone heard of that contraversal research project "The well of depression" where some guy tested on animals to see how depressed he could make them. He discovered that no matter how great an upbringing they had, they could always fall into depression. This worked on dogs, monkies and people. It was considered a pointless experiment causing more harm then good and the results were only common sense results anyway, the way other professers could see it, the person doing this 'Well of Depression' research was just trying to make as big a mess as possible before his time was up, or to satisfy his own cruel satisfactions.
Well it seems that maybe it wasn't as "common sense" a result as they claimed, as evidence on this "if you think your life is bad look at the lies of people in third world countries" reply posts we see on Gamespot Off-Topic forums.
You see, the well of depression goes like this. You can live in a million doller mansion, with a loving caring family and your own little puppy and the chance to pursue any of your dreams from loving supporting parents, but that doesn't EVER make you immune to crashing down into the well of depression. Things can change, your house can burn down, your parents can die, your puppy can get lost and you can find it a week later, with a deep infectious wound form the result of a bear trap, making you have to put it down with a shovel.
Harry Harlow was ridiculed for these experiments.
My uneducated guess/opinion is that it seems this generation (say, ages 15 to 25) have replaced a lot of "real" face to face interaction with "virtual friendships." Not that there is anything wrong with virtual friends, but I kinda/sorta think that people are by nature pack animals, and without REAL socialization, people can become depressed.
For some reason, they think that's cool. Most things most teenagers do, they do because they're under the mistaken impression that they are starring in a TV show about themselves. Everyone's watching their every move, and they must prove how full of pathos their life is.
"High schooool is a such a serious thing, these problems matterrrrrr."
None of my younger friends say stuff like that, they just suck it up.
There is a few kids in my High School that would walk around acting all depressed for attention all the time even though they weren't.

Do you guys really think parents were a lot more encouraging in previous generations :? If anything, parents have become even more encouraging
