Hello ! Most likely there are more Walking Dead fans here than just me so I wanted to start a thread about the next season ! So I would like everyone that has any information or maybe even a guess at what will happen next season to post it here ! We could also discuss some of the stuff from the past seasons like characters, important decisions etc. The only thing I know about Season 4 is that they started filming it yesterday so that's very good news !

And let me just clarify, I don't hate the show and I do respect that it wants to be different than the comics. I'm just disappointed with the second half of the 3rd season, particularly the finale. I am very much looking forward to the 4th season.
Well i'm glad you're a fan of the show still ! :) I also love Daryl ( who doesn't ) but apart from him I really like Rick and Michonne too. Would've loved Merle too if he decided to become friendly a bit earlier :p Everyone else seems great to me but these are my favs. :)

Some chapters only have "token zombies" and... well, things got really boring.

But really I don't see how the series got boring by introducing a psychopath who has an army and is ready to kill anyone with it. It's really emotional at some points too like the sight of Merle or Sophia as a walker got many people to cry too. And good characters act evil. I only see Rick doing that just to protect his group. And you wouldn't be at the edge if your wife and best friend died and you just got a newborn baby. Have some understanding for him. Thanks for posting your opinion !
it's going the way of Lost which had a cool beginning and then starts to become this endless cycle of bullshit. fyi, the graphic novel has not even been finished so we at least know the show will be milked to all hell.

I actually kind of agree with this. Â I'm a pretty big fan of the show, but they really kept dragging and dragging out the whole Governor storyline to the point that it became aggravating, and yeah I was pretty disappointed with the season 3 finale.
You guys are right about the 3rd season to some degree. But it was pretty damn good. I think the show does a very good job of us getting that feeling where you think " Oh God what will happen in the next episode, i'm so excited " and that's what they hope to achieve. Now the story could be helluva lot better but it's decent as it is. I mean you can't just have zombies and survivors and think it will be interesting. No, it has to have some weird bullshit i'm just afraid that the weird bullshit gets monotone...

I love the show but last seasons finale was absolutely, mind numbingly terrible.  Looking forward to season 4 though with not as much enthusiasm as I used to have for the show.

My guess is the first few episodes we don't even see the Governor. Â Rick and the rest of the new people at the prison start either trying to re-fortify, or look for a new place to live. Â I think some other plotpoint gets introduced, and then midway through the season, the Governor gets re-introduced in bombshell fashion, maybe with a new group. Â Idk, just some thoughts. Â
Personally, something else needs to happen besides just the Governor storyline. Â I woulnd't mind if they started talking about a cure again. Â I think they also need to do something to make the zombies a serious threat again. Â This past season they were more of a backdrop.Â

The governor could also pursue them so he won' t have to leave the show(for those that really like him). That way we all win as it gets a little more tense like in the first season.
The first two seasons were great, and the start of season 3 was really good as well. However the show really started to drag the latter half of season 3, and the finale was terrible. I'm not a fan of the Governor becoming some kind of recurring villain that shows up randomly.Â
If season 4 is going to be good they need to ditch the prison and have Rick and the gang hit the road again to make things more interesting.Â

This I like, but only if things get interesting with Rick and with the group in the prison. Not just Rick and Daryl on their adventure to find a cure !

I can't get amped for Season 4, and here's why (Spoilers if you're not up to date, don't read further than this if you have not seen Season 3. fair warning): Remember at the end of the execrable Season 2, where they went all out and killed off most of the peripheral characters/dead wood? And how, in the absence of people talking about their feelings and needing emergency tampon runs, we got an action-filled season that was really damn awesome? And then the last minute of Season 3 showed a literal busload of people being taken from Woodbury to the Prison? I will bet anyone $50 right now that Season 4 contains CONSTANT complaints of "HURRRR we were safer in Woodbury why did you bring us here whaaaaa!!!!" Season 4, in the absence of Michael "Me and Daryl are the 2 things this show had going for it" Rooker, a completely neutered (And progressively, annoyingly overpowered) Governor, and any real overhanging tension, is gonna devolve back into a talkfest about how WE NEED TO LEAVE THE PRISON!

She acts crazy and far more overtly violent than the Guv'nor does. Her blonde companion -forgot the name- acted as doofus as a human possibly could. After the dead wife incident, Everyone was surprisingly calm that rick was covered in blood going alone to hunt zombies. The season in the barn was extremely slow. Nothing really happened bu "oh, I might be pregnant" and "I might have seen a child." I really had enough with the series. What started with excitement, ended with "to hell with that".
