Does anyone else think that Wall-E was quite overrated? I remember reading all the rave reviews and thinking I was going to be completely wowed by it - but it just didn't happen. The love story between Wall-E and Eve was touching, and it was a technical and visual marvel, but I just could not love this movie. It kinda left me with a hollow feeling. I really wanted to like it, but just couldn't...

i thought it was excellent, i mean come on man, for a kids animated movie you gotta admit its pretty damn good. kids love it and its totally enjoyable for parents too. only thing i can say that was a little too childish was how the all got up and walked around at the end, which you know as well as i do that that would be impossible.

Well, I love all other Pixar movies, The Incredibles is probably my favourite. And when critics claimed that Wall-E was better than most of them, I was expecting something really amazing, which isn't what I saw

I went into it quite skeptical and was blown away. It was a fantastic love story, the visuals were astounding, there were many beautiful scenes and it had a surprising amount of depth for an animated film. It's one of the best films I've seen in years.

I preferred it to the Dark Knight - but both were great films.

I don't think that it was overrated at all. It was a great movie, great animation, sound, comedy, everything.

I was dissapointed when I saw it. imo, the live-action parts were stupid, and were the worst part of the film. It was about 7/10 for me.

It was cute and had a really good message, but I have to agree with you. It was definitely better than most of the movies being made nowadays, but it wasn't overly amazing. In fact at some parts I was kind of bored lol.

I've yet to see it. I will eventually... not sure about seeing it at the cinema though.

I haven't seen it, so I wouldn't know. By the way, does anyone else notice a few similarities between Wall-E and Johnny-5 (Short Circuit)?

Not overrated at all, IMO. It deserves all the praise it's been getting, it's a great movie.
