Walmart in NJ - PA made telling all black people to leave the store

An announcement at a Walmart store in New Jersey ordering black people to leave brought chagrin and apologies Wednesday from leaders of the company, which has built a fragile trust among minority communities.

Totally unacceptable, but if this was done by a rogue customer, I cannot see holding the store responsible. Employee yes, but not if it was a customer.

As messed up as that it is, as someone else pointed out, that'd make a hilarious scene in a comedy.

We used to do it at Meijer (midwest chain exactly like Wal-Mart) and there was no code, it was a clearly labeled 'intercom' button. We said worse things than this story, but it was usually late at night, so no one cared? We only got physically removed from the store once. I'm no fan of big buisness or walmart, but I think being mad at the company for this is silly.

If it was a customer doing it, what exactly could they do? If it was an employee, alright...fire him, what else do you want? How could this be prevented aside from requiring all PA announcements to be forwarded to the board of directors for approval before being aired over the stores system.

I also don't see why it's a big deal. Someone said something mildly racist over the PA system, thats barely news.

My message would be 'Hey fatties, step away from the cakes and get a f**king salad'
