Why does as 80-85+ degrees F outside feel hot to us when our internal temperature is 98.6?

(Sorry if this is a dumb question...)

I suppose that depends on the desert. It gets VERY cold in some deserts at night, despite the scorching heat in the day. Many spiders and scorpions live in certain deserts, but I'm not sure how they'd be classified. But so do many kinds of rabbits.

Internal temp sensors are not linked to external temp sensors... External needs to feel it as hotter otherwise there would be no way to dissapate excess heat in the body thus internal temps would rise ^_^

I dont know anything about that. I live in Arizona, where the outside temperature is 114 degrees on a warm day, 125 on a hot one.

Cold blooded creatures such as snakes and scorpions can't survive during the day in a desert. Its too hot for them, so instead they have to hide in burrows or under the sides of mountains.
