The 90s was a better time to grow up in. Sure we didn't have as much advanced technology, but there will never be a day that I wish I'd had a smartphone instead of a treehouse growing up, or a top of the line computer instead of waterguns and fast food toys.
Things were so much simpler back then. Saturday morning cartoons were awesome, breakfast cereal and snacks were awesome, and getting bumps and scratches and war wounds was just part of being a kid. Nobody over analyzed the "hidden meanings" or how "appropriate" everything and anything on TV was or assumed it would make us all violent or mental. Nobody nitpicked at how many calories or grams of fat or trans fats or aspartame or artificial blah blah blah was in foods, and when we fell down and hurt ourselves we walked it off, we didn't get rushed to the hospital for every scratch and cut.
The 90s was just better. Everything was cheaper, too. Gas was less than a buck a liter then. I doubt the next generation will ever see that.
EDIT: Gamespot likes to make things into walls of text :)
