That's frickin scary. I'd hate to be one of those poor Palestinians....Hot-TamaleI like how the media has turned everyone against Israel. They've done their share of bad things to Israel as well you know. It's war, both sides have problems.. I'd hate to be one of those poor Isrealites that have to constantly be on the look out, and having to make people join the army or otherwise their country would fall.

The media turned everyone against Israel? Hah. The media hasn't even scratched the surface of what is really going on. However, just the LITTLE that is shown is enough to upset any moral human being who actually cares about his fellow man. It's not exactly easy to spin the killing of almost 1000 people, half of which are kids.

I agree that arocities have been committed on both sides, but in the past two weeks, only 4 Israeli civilians have been killed. As for the Palestinians, 880 civilians are dead, and over 3500 are wounded (including Hamas militants). That's pretty unbalanced.

The winning side usually loses less civilians than the losing side. Hama isn't in Israel, so Obviously Israel citizens aren't going to die near as much. I don't approve of people dying but it is a war, they've been at war for God knows How long and both side has done things that could be considered wrong, so blaming one side over the other is stupid..[QUOTE="Hot-Tamale"]That's frickin scary. Yes it is- and that's EXACTLY what Hamas wants. The civilian casualties are only unbalanced- because that's how Hamas has set things up. Their missile installments are generally close-by, or even right inside- civillian areas, making mass civillian casualties impossible to avoid.

Again I'm not judging either side just saying the poor old Hamas isn't innocent. They turned down talks as redily as Israel did. So you're suggesting that Israel sit idly by and let Hamas attack them with no repercussions? I realize civilian casualties are impossible to avoid, but that's a direct result of Hamas' decisions to place their bases where they are. The Hamas are scum.Lets look at it from Palestines side-the U.S feeds the Israel army with unlimited weapons (including nukes). They took our land
Israels side-The Jewish race needs a place to reside, and this small land is what we deserve.
Fighting obviously isnt the best solution, esp. when one side clearly has military advantages in the form of better leadership and powerful groups.

What's your point? Hamas intentions are obvious, but they just suck at the execution of their intentions. They INTENTIONALLY fired rockets at Israeli civilians to start this recent conflict, so Israel said, ok, you fire 1 at me, I'll fire 10 back at you. Your logic is flawed. Just because Israel has one of the greatest militaries in the world and Hamas has one of the worst, means that Hamas is the "victim" in this situation? You don't decide whose wrong and whose right by how many people have died on each side. Hamas intentions are to kill Israeli civilians, which they obviously suck at. Does that make Hamas the good guy an Israel the bad guy? I hope not...

We need to focus on how this conflict started, not who is going to win (obviously Israel will end up the victor). If Israel hadn't blockaded Gaza the second that Hamas was democratically elected, then who knows how many Hamas rockets, if any, would have been fired into Israel. Who knows, maybe the 'Gaza War' would never have started if Israel never became a state unto itself.

No way. Let's look at the chronology...
1. U.N. and Britain take land predominantly inhabited by Palestinians (even in Jerusalem) and create a 'Jewish state,' forcing many Palestinians tobe moved to their designated territories of Golan Heights, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.
2. 2 years ago, Hamas is elected democratically in Gaza. In response, Israel blockades the Gaza Strip, killing thousands.
3. Hamas gets mad at Israel's crimes against humanity, and starts shooting rockets at border cities (I obviously don't condone ths type of violence, Hamas has since become a terrorist organization due to the provocations from Israel).
4. Today, Israel is launching a land assault against the Hamas rocketeers, but more than half of the casualties have been innocent civilians. The Palestinians and Israelies MUST come to a cease-fire agreement, and start peace talks helmed by the U.S., the U.N., and the surrounding Arab prescence (especially Egypt).
