Watchmen Pictures, Images and Photos

Have you read the graphic novel?

If you have what is your opinion on it?

And also are you exited about the movie?

I'm almost done it. Fantastic graphic novel. That being said, I've got no idea how it is going to be turned into a movie successfully.

Watchmen was a brilliant graphic novel. I don't think it can be translated into film, especially by Zack Snyder, who didn't even do a good job on 300.

Yes, I have read the graphic novel and it was amazing. I have faith in the film, although I didn't right after reading the graphic novel, but after seeing the trailers, and watching interviews with Zach Snyder and Dave Gibbons, along with the cast, and the fact that the movie is 2h and 40m and appears to have been made for Watchmen fans and not your average moviegoer, I think it will be good, or at least the best adaptation anyone could have made. Not to mention early reviews say it is amazing, and that's coming from some long time fans.

good book, with great clashing of philisophical ideas. About 60% of the book bored me to tears though. Like most have said, I don't see the movie doing the original source material any justice though.

I've never read it, but I kinda want to, but it has to be before the movie comes out or else I never read it. As for the movie.....well after I saw the trailer for The Spirit I kind of lost all interest in graphic novel adaptations. I'm not saying these movies look similar; I'm just not picking up what they're laying down.

This "genre" has had one leg left to stand on since it started.

I read it about 15 years ago. Loved it. If it's not exactly as brilliant or earth-shattering as I thought at the time, well, I've grown up a bit since then. But it's still good, and I am looking forward to the movie.

It's hard to do a good job on something that barely has a story..

I love the graphic novel. I have no idea how they made it into a film.

In YOUR opinion

It's implied that what he is saying is his opinion as he is saying it. You don't have to add "In my opinion" to everything.

The graphic novel is awesome... I'm not sure the film will be. What worries me, is I got wind of the ending being changed, furthermore in a films run time (2hrs 40mins or not) perhaps too much story is going to have to be sacrificed for the sake of the run time.

About the ending I have heard it was a minor change that doesnt really effect anything, Kevin Smith said its nothing huge and he actually thought it was a nice change and brought the characters more together i think it might be
like the trailer implies Nite Owl might be a little more upset about the death of Rorshach, there was a rumor going around that the squid wasnt in the end, but that has been proven to be a small rumor, Snyder/cast/ and set design have already talked about it and I personally found a part in the newest trailer that basically shows the city after the squid
I dont think a lot of story will be sacrificed, they seem to have added everything they possibly could. The good thing is this seems to be a movie made for Watchmen fans and not just your average movie goer. For example I hear the Doc Manhattan flashback scene on mars is included in the film and is over 10 minutes, I mean they could have made it much longer but they seem to be keeping everything intact, or at least trying to including everything they possibly can. The only thing I know that is missing is the comic book within Watchmen about the pirates, but Snyder said that they are making a fully animated version to be released on DVD.

I have faith after watching interviews with the cast and Snyder and Dave Gibbons, and although I dont think it will be as great as the graphic novel, I do think itll probably the best adaptation anyone could have made given how deep and comlex the story is.

Someone please answer me this, why the hell does Dr. Manhattan not have a penis in the film? How does that make ANY SENSE?!?!

edit: watched the trailer again, it was censored out. Doctor manhattan actually wears his "thong thing":P Also I hope they dont leave out alot of the comedians past in the film. Some crazy stuff he did...

well if you watch the trailer almost frame by frame...which i did...sad yes, I did the same for The Dark Knight, you find some interesting things actually, but they do show his, well you know, like the novel some times he is nude, other times he has that like black thing thing on. As for the comedian
they already show him fighting in Vietnam in the trailer, there is also this pic which based on the bloody scar and setting is when he shoots the pregnant Vietnamese girl, I think they do include his past, and they have to include the whole "rape" which I believe they do, because again if you watch the trailer you see Silk Spectre throwing the I believe Nostalgia perfume on mars, which comes while she realizes the truth about The Comedian
ah I was a little scared to read the spoiler because I didnt get to finish reading it yet but it would be cool if they included those scenes. When I read them I was shocked! But I also noticed in the extended trailer he says "God help us all." at a completely different time. I have hope in film.
