Tell us what you're reading and what you think of it!

I just finished A Severed Head by Iris Murdoch, which was strangely addicting and hilarious in some parts. It was kinda like a soap opera in book form.

So what should I read next? Other choices not in the poll include:

The Metamorphosis

Night/Dawn/Day

The Art of Racing in the Rain

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

The Girl Who Played With Fire

Alice in wonderland

Red Dragon

I read American Psycho. I really don't know if I liked it. Some parts were good, others boring, and some were....well....disturbing.

I'm running through the Sandman TPBs at the moment. Before that I was reading the Street Fighter Alpha manga. Last actual book I had read was Stranger Than Fiction for about the fourth time.

I'll suggest Alice In Wonderland. Most new editions come with Through The Looking Glass. It's a very fun read.

I'm reading Ishmael by Daniel Quin. Just started today, so I just read the first two chapters, and it's weird.

One of your suggestions is The Girl Who Played With Fire: Does this imply you've read the first one The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? I'm curious did you think it's good? My sister just read the whole series, she found it to be very entertaining. But she said there are some typos in the book. Did this get in the way for you? Or, is it some superfluous detail that doesn't negatively affect the book?

Read the series and tell us what you think when you're done. (: I'm thinking about reading it as well.

I finished the series a couple of months back, and I say go for it. Sure, it gets weird as hell, but no worries, King wraps up all the loose ends nicely and in a believable way. (admittedly, I was getting pretty sceptical a couple of times :p )

I think it's safe to say that Vonnegut isn't for everyone. I didn't entirely "get it" until I skimmed some Spark notes because I was doing a book report on it.

Should invest in a Kindle. Best 189 dollars I've ever spent on book needs and it's paid for itself 3 times over.

It's not about domestic violence or anything. It's about this submissive/masochestic guy who has emotional problems, actually it's the author. And he dates women who are dominating/sadists who beat him up/hurt him. Ahhhhh BDSM.....

Yeah, you do everything right on the Kindle. If you fork out the extra 50 ($189)you get free Wi Fi and internet access and you can download most books between 8 and 9 bucks. Also there's a massive amount of books that are free to download.

We also had to read it for english; and I thought it was rather dumb looking back on it now.

I got War and Peace for Christmas and have to finish it. It isn't bad; though some parts border on boredom.

Finally finished the first of the Eisenhorn trilogy. Good book, but it's not as well thought out as the Ravenor series by the same author (Dan Abnett). I hear it only gets better though since Eisenhorn was his first experience writing with the inquisition source material...
