reading star wars shadows of the empire again. for some reason I miss reading some part of it.:?
my childhood = rereading harry potter all the time ;pKagai13i think i've only read most of those books twice
Here's a few that I like to reread every now and then:
Shogun - James Clavell
Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett
Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan
The Sword of Truth - Terry Goodkind (Only books 1-4 and 6 are worth rereading. The rest vary from terrible to not good.)
The Automatic Detective - A. Lee Martinez
Every so often when my memory becomes a bit too distant I'll read through Michael Moorcock's Elric and Hawkmoon series as well as Robert E. Howard's Conan series as well as a bunch of collections of his from various genres that I've picked up over the years. I'll read through Haruki Murakami's Dance Dance Dance and The Wild Sheep Chase books from time to time and I typically carry with me a ratty old version of his first short stories collection called The Elephant Vanishes which I take with me when I go to places that I'm going to be waiting for extended periods such as an airport or a convention. I also like to reread Yasunari Kawabata's books especially his Palm-of-the-hand stories every now and again. I like stuffy Russian literature as well so when spanking new recommended new translations come out I like to give them a run through when I get the time.
the goold soldier schwejk-4 times
catcher in the rye- 9 times
do androids dream of electric sheep? -just finished reading it but i'd love to read it again.
There are so many books I could list, but I'll just list a few:
Different Seasons by Stephen King (Anybody who thinks that Stephen King just writes horror should check this out; the novellas in this book are deep and beautifully written)
The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman (best fantasy series out there IMO; the setting and atmosphere is exotic and the writing is gorgeous)
Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (this book was surprisingly superb; makes you think about good and evil in a whole different way)
;] and yeah, RA salvatore got less good with ageWheel of time series several times. Before I got the rest of the books I read the Eye of the World like 8 times. R.A. Salvatore's books although now I think that he's a pretty prosaic writer at best. Magician by Raymond Feist who knows how many times.

I've never been able to read a book more than once. I just finished The Lions of Lucerne by Brad Thor and I'm starting on Path of the Assassin. He's an all right author, not as good as Vince Flynn, though.
It might be a year or so for me to re-read a book, but if the story was good enough, I'll pick it up again at some point.I've never been able to read a book more than once. i finally started bakker's the warrior prophet while the power was out.
anyway, there are lots of books good enough to read more than once. i think kafka's the metamorphosis is the most worthy of additional reads. yeah, you could read the last page and go right back to the first if you wanted, but i think the books greatest value is in waiting a few years and seeing how it affects you differently.
