weird bug. anyone know what it is? (pics)

ok there was this bug in my garage and we killed it and took pictures because i dont know what it is. i was hoping my fellow OT'ers would know what it is.

its not a wasp or any kind of hornet.

a mosquito.

I don't see a long needle going down from the head and the eyes are more rounded and bulding than any mosquito I've seen.

its not a mosquito. its legs and body are too big. mosquitos are skinnier

Looking at it, are the wings transparent? It sort of resembles a mayfly. I'm not too sure though...ayanami_rei
