Just sitting here trying to think of some odd music collabs. The one that i find the most strange was Snoop Dogg and old Willie.

My medicine.

Anyone can think of any other odd music collabs?

I raise you Ozzy Osbourne and Miss Piggy.

Also, Kylie Minogue + Nick Cave was surprising, but it worked out wonderfully.

Those 2 guys from Dimmu Borgir who collaborated with some rapper. It was quite sad.

I agree on all of those except Eminem and Pink. I love Em's rap in that song, but her part is completely lackluster and the beat just makes it plain annoying.

Personally I love Won't Back Down. I do love that whole cd though besides maybe So Bad.

That's kinda what I was thinking. When I saw that album's tracklist I saw Airplanes 2 and thought "Well, I never thought I'd see Eminem and Hayley Williams featured on the same song".

I tried to erase that song from my memory. Thanks a lot. :(

Me too, it's his best work since The Eminem Show and I'm happy to see the positive turn his life and rhymes have taken. I actually like So Bad, but it may just be Dre's producing. I think Dre should've produced more on this album since I love his producing with Em's rapping, but still that's a minor gripe considering how fantastic the rest of the album is.

I need to re-listen to his first 3 albums but I could see Recovery POSSIBLY being my fav album of his.

Not sure which songs Dre produced, but honestly if that is one of them I am actually glad Dre didn't produce the rest of the cd....

lol, well maybe he shouldn't have :P cause that's the only song he produced. Like I said though, I kinda liked it. Harmless fun song. I don't see this album ever topping The Eminem Show or MMLP for me, but that doesn't mean it's not right up there with those albums for me. It's an entirely different direction now and honestly I'm glad he matured. I would've been disappointed if we had just gotten another album where he tried to go for more shock value (which he doesn't need anymore to get people to listen to him), bash Kim, bash his mom, and talk about how in love with his daughter he is.

It is great work though, and besides maybe 3 songs, I actually LOVE every other track. My favorites though are Almost Famous, No Love, Seduction, Talkin 2 Myself, and Going Through Changes.

Haha I remember being so tripped out watching that cause at the time, I actually thought Em was serious in some of his gay bashing and would never do a collaboration with Elton. Now I know much differently of course, and I absolutely love their duet on Stan.

Yeah it was a great performance. Eminem wanted to show he wasn't a homophobic. It sucked the people at the grammys booed Em but cheered Elton. Em will never get the true respect he deserves IMO.

Oh he's got the respect. He might never be liked by the parents of most middle america teens that were into Eminem when he first came out, but he never cared much about the popularity anyways, he just liked pissing people off with words.

I don't hate any of the songs but Seduction and So Bad are just not up to snuff with the rest of the CD.

I too love the new, mature Eminem and think he is demostrating exactly how one should mature as an artist.

My 5 fav are probably Cold Wind Blows, Almost Famous, Love the Way You Lie, Space Bound, and Won't Back Down but it really is almost impossible for me to choose. The cd is just sooo good!

Seduction may not be his strongest lyrically, but it's such a departure from the norm for him, and I love his flow in it. It kinda hearkens me back to Superman, but completely different still.

Anthrax and Public Enemy

Anthrax is a white, and metal is mostly seen as a "white power" genre of music. Public Enemy is a very "black power" type rap group. I don't know where these two ended up meeting, and how the hell they were like "hey I think we'd work well together".

This is by far one of the most random. Having a moody singer like Nick Cave do a collaboration with a pop star like Kylie Minogue sounds like a terrible idea but it actually works perfectly. She has quite a nice voice.
