I looked for files like that and I can't find them..... Could a non-genuine copy of windows be the problem? The people who fixed our computer last time stupidly gave us a fake copy of windows and it has been a major pain in the ass....When you uninstall it before you install the new version make sure you COMPLETELY uninstall to include all the little folders and processes they keep running on you like Ituneshelper.exe

I keep going through the suggestions on the apple website and I am still getting nowhere. I can't find my c: system32 folder or whatever it is called.... You should have a folder called Windows on your C drive and the System32 folder should be in there. I think it is hidden by default, so in Explorer you may need to go to the Tools menu and select Folder Options. From there, click the View tab and in the big list o' options below make sure that "Display the contents of system folders" is checked and "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" is not. If you don't see anything there then, you may have a non-standard Windows directory. You can check this from a DOS box by bringing up a command prompt, typing "set" and pressing enter and looking for a line starting with "windir=" Whatever is after the equality sign is the folder where your system32 will be.

Have you tried reformatting your computer?
