** SPOILER ** A few weeks ago they teased in the episode 5 years in the future about a big showdown between Sylar and Peter and then at the end of the season finale I was on the edge of my seat feeling like I was about to watch a big boxing fight, when Peter and Sylar were face to face. They both have so many powers they can use, the possibilities would have been endless to what they could have done but they did nothing. It was the biggest disappointment on television the entire season. And in a very corny scene, when Nathan does the predictable thing and comes to fly away with Peter, he says something dumb like "I won't leave you little brother," lol, could that finale have gotten any worse. And then when Matt died the little girl walks over to his body and says the most corny line in the history of television..."your my hero." The very end was also dumb with Hiro in the past and the sun looking all weird. It was a very stupid finale that was good for the first 45 minutes, but the last 15 were awful.

*spoilers

i agree that the season finale was disappointing. but when you made the point about the showdown between sylar and peter, i think you were wrong to expect that showdown. that showdown in "5 years in the futrue" happened because they DIDNT stop the explosion.

but in the finale, because they did, so the showdown wouldnt happen at all. if we actually got the showdown, it means that peter would have exploded, and you would have to wait another season until sylar becomes president and peter gets together with nikki etc etc and then the showdown.

but i agree that it was a bad move for Nathan to come back and fly peter into the sky. why peter couldnt fly himself up there in the first place we will never know. maybe he was too tired to think. some hero. but i rather that Claire or Hiro killed him. Peter's too powerful to be around for another season (thats assuming that he is going to be around)

It's a great show and it had a really good finale. My only gripe was that is felt too short and left me hanging. There was no closure. There's a difference in leaving details behind to question and lead into the next season, versus leaving you completely in the dark (which is what they did). But it was still good. Rather quick, but still good :D.

I was happy too with the finale. Sure the Peter Vs Sylar thing could have been better. But when Nathan dropped in to help Peter, it was a very unexpected scene. Now all can hope is that Heroes doesn't get ruined by too many seasons like Lost but they'll manage to keep the show fresh.

I could never get into Lost. Does anyone know when the new season starts?

EDIT: I agree. I would've never thought of Nathan coming to the rescue :D.

I agree, the last 15 minutes were horrible, for multiple reasons.

1. No big Peter Vs Sylar fight. They were hinting at it all season, building up to it, and when the actual fight comes, it lasts less than a minute, and during the fight, all Peter can do is get choked then punch Sylar? WTF?

2. Why didn't Claire shoot Peter? Wouldn't he come back to life after removing the bullet? Why did Nathan die then? WTF?

3. Sylar can stop 5 bullets in mid air, but he can't stop a short stocky guy running and screaming at him with a sword from 10 feet away? WTF?

4. Why didn't Micah let his mom (Nikki) clobber Sylar? I mean 1 punch woulda owned him, but no... "MOM! Dad needs your help to stand next to him!" WTF?

5. Candace said she was huge, but when she got knocked out, she went back to her supposed normal form. WTF?

6. DL limped around the entire episode acting as he was dying, but he never did die. WTF?

I was so frustrated by the end, I was actually hoping Sylar would kill them all. He's my new hero.
