Im not exactly scared but I hate spiders and kill them almost everytime one crosses my path.Lairdo91
Ugh, I almost forgot how deathly afraid of spiders I am.
I'm scared of bigger dogs, due to a bad experience when I was younger...a VERY bad experience.cousin_eddy
Ditto. And speaking of dogs - I had a nightmare about one last night.

I'm sorry to hear that, was it a realistic nightmare or an outlandish nightmare?
[QUOTE="daftdog"]You shouldnt be scared of sharks, they have one of the lowest kill rates on humans in the world.JokerFoxx
Its true, im a long time spearfisher and i see them regularly when im in the water and the myth of them being killers is extremly hyperbolised.
I think everyone should watch the movie "Sharkwater" completely changed my outlook on sharks. I now feel sorry for them :( The animal I fear most has to be spiders, creepy little things.

Realistic one. And I woke up two minutes before my alarm sounded. I hate it when that happens.

Nice to know there are other people who feel that way. Sharks are the most understood, yet most intelligent and brilliant creatures on this planet. They are seriously ill treated. They deserve far more respect they are the elders of this planet.

I love waking up before my alarm. The stupid thing makes horrible beeping noises if it goes off.Yes, they are understood. They want to chew my toes and eat my ship like Jaws showed me :oNice to know there are other people who feel that way. You make jokes but after Jaws the film was released there was a massive attck on sharks, people were going out to intentionally kill them because they thought they were evil. Just shows the ignorance of some people. So really the animal i am most afraid of is Human, and i think i have the whole animal world behind me on that one.
I picked human as my most feared animal too! It's the only thing that will kill me, most likely. Another person. Yup but it is in human nature to kill each other. What you gonna do?

Animals kill eachother all the time in many different species. It's not really surprising that you may get killed by another human.
It's not really surprising that you may get killed by another human. stevenk4k5Because we're all just animals, right :o

He never said it was surprising he said it was sad.

Basically. We may be a lot smarter than other animals but that doesn't defeat the fact that we are a species of animal with animalistic instincts.
Doesn't mean we *have* to act it out and kill others because they have more things or because they pissed us off or whatever the rationales people use before killing someone.Basically.

Dont you think though that with are high intelligence we could learn not to kill each other?

Of course not. I would love for it to be true but it's impossible for us to all live in a world where fighting, murdering, and war in our species is not commonplace. It's survival of the fittest (a basic instinct); even if we aren't killing eachother directly we are doing it indirectly regardless. When one person gets a job, that's one more person left without one just trying to make ends meet for themselves or their families.

wth? what, did koala bears and caterpillars beat them with higher kill rates?

[QUOTE="daftdog"]You shouldnt be scared of sharks, they have one of the lowest kill rates on humans in the world.savinger

No, but your more likely to be killed by a domestic dog than a shark. There are only two species of shark that eat humans and thats bull shark & tiger shark. And before you all shout about the Great White, great whites dont eat humans they dont like the taste, they attck humans mistaking them for seals sometimes but they never intentionally eat humans, however their jawline is so big that if they do bite you by accident it usually leads to death. Also the only reason bull & tiger sharks eat humans is because they have no limits on what they eat. They eat everything, there have been cases where people have opened up tiger sharks to find car wheels and even lamps!
