Hey someone else here knows of Kerli! If I had more money I would go pick up that album of hers. Unfortunately I only had enough money to pick up two albums when I was at the store and seeing Ride the Lightning for a decent price finally was way too good an opportunity to pass up.
Anyways, I guess since I am constantly exploring and listening to different music, I will go ahead and list 5 cd's that played a huge part in getting me into music.
5) Limp Bizkit-The Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water

I know I know, it's Limp Bizkit. Thing I can trace back my interest into "heavier" music back to this cd. It was the first cd I ever got that had some heaviness to it and wasn't just straight rock. Considering I am now at a point where I listen to all types of metal from Metallica to Opeth, this cd is pretty important for being that first step into broadening my horizons. I went through a phase of listening to this cd nonstop and was pretty addicted to it for a while. Still love listening to it again every so often.
4) Alien Ant Farm-ANThology

This was one of the first cd's I ever owned and I just really loved it. It is a shame that this band just kinda dropped off. This cd kept me entertained through many bus rides back in the day and I still love it the same with every listen.
3) Lostprophets-The Fake Sound of Progress/Start Something

I may be kinda cheating here by putting up two different cd's in the same slot, but the fact is I went and got both cd's on the same day. These cd's just happened to come into my life at the perfect time. I had just had my dad go to prison a year or two beforehand and my mom had just remarried and that caused us to move when I had just completed my Sophmore year of High School. I ended up clinging onto these albums and listening to them CONSTANTLY for probably a good year, literally bringing them everywhere I went. Took them on a few camping trips and have great memories just going around experiencing the greatness of Northern Michigan while listening to those cd's. They really have a special place in my heart and I have bought them 3 times now after previous copies stopped working.
2) Red Hot Chili Peppers-Californication

This is the first cd I ever owned I do believe, or at least the first one that actually mattered (I may have gotten this random crappy Christian bands cd first but I can't remember). I was actually gifted it TWICE during the same Christmas. It being the first good cd I owned, I used to listen to it CONSTANTLY. The band still has a special place in my heart thanks to their great music. Funny thing because my dad and Uncle used to sit around and jam out some Red Hot Chili Peppers stuff on their acoustic guitars.
1) Nirvana-Nevermind

*Note mods if the album cover is too much just lemme know and I'll delete the pic. I can't find a "censored" version but I thought since this is a well-know and iconic album cover it might not be an issue*
This album is directly responsible for my getting into music. They came around and exploded onto the scene while I was a toddler and they became the first band I can truely say I "liked". This ended up being the first cd I ever went out and actually bought, which with my current cd buying habits is huge. The band in general has influenced me musically to a degree no other band could hope to achieve at this point. Nirvana is just a huge part of my life in general, especially considering I am working on starting a band and Dave's drumming is probably the ultimate basis for my drumming.
