I would have to say Wolf. They are a thrash/power metal band from Swedan. They have relased four albums but almost all of their videos on youtube are under a thousand. I have not met a single person that knows Wolf.

HotPotatoBananaRocket (Hot.Pot.Ban.Rock) It was a conceptual band I created with some friends in high school. It was awesome in our heads. The band broke up before we even picked up our instruments. Imaginary fans still call for a reunion, but things are a little tough between us now, what with all the drugs we weren't doing and women we weren't having sex with.

Yeah, they're pretty sweet. I don't like how people compare them to The White Stripes, though, just because it's a guy and a girl. They're so completely different. Because The Kills actually play music.

It seems like people don't know Savatage too well. IMO Jon (vocals) and Criss (guitar) Oliva are some of the greatest musicians ever and Savatage deserved more recognition. Their album Streets is my favorite album of all time. An amazing rock opera.

Some songs:

Believe

If I Go Away

Desiree (this song is absolutely beautiful)

Handful of Rain

And if you enjoyed this then try Jon Oliva's current band. Jon Oliva's Pain. Not as good as Savatage but still some good stuff.

I'm gonna go with the one I always list in these threads, The F***ing Champs. They're the perfect mix of classic rock guitar riffs and progressive complexity for an instrumental band. A few examples:

What's a Little Reign?

Crummy Lovers Die in the Grave

Well... pretty much all the metal bands I listen to. They classify any metal that has growling and such as "screamo." I also listen to older jazz, so when I mention Chet Baker or Miles Davis they don't know who I'm talking about.

I like Sigur Ros from Iceland, though I'm sure some of you know them.

This is still the best Music + Video combo I have ever seen:

60's band Love is another favorite of mine.

I only know of them because they performed at a Cody ChesnuTT show I went to years ago. I haven't heard of anything about them since.

I've heard of Savatage (thanks, Brutal Legend :P), and I liked what I heard, but I never really tried to get into their stuff. Will start with these songs.
