I am fascinated in the culture I plan to learn the language over the next 5 years. However, I don't know of any good tourist sites. Any ideas?

Akihabara, Tokyo, also known as Electric Town, is an otaku heaven and home to many bizarre and wonderous fads (maid cafes and cosplay of many sorts).
