With this I mean with good songs that got all their charm and sould sucked out of them by having radio stations and people play them over and over again.
Some examples are:
- Stairway to Heaveen - Led Zeppelin(We all know this one... can't we listen to something like No Quarter instead?)
- Beat it or Thriller - MichaelJackson(The first 10 times I heard those it was just epic.... by the 35,000th time it got annoying... Radio stations should play Off The Wall (song) instead).
- Let it Be - The Beatles(This one isn't even on the list of the 25 best Beatles songs in my opinion... Radio Stations rarely play A Day in The Life, why not play that one?)
- Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana(While it is a very important song in the history of rock it is, other songs on Nevermind blow this one out of the water)
Your turn :D

I would most definitely not like this, except for Thriller which I don't really care about. The stations around me don't overdo these songs, if anything they play them so infrequently that when I hear them it's a welcome surprise. The only possible exceptions is Teen Spirit, but that's one of those songs that was ruined for me when it first came out. They could play it once a decade and I'd be sick of it, doesn't mean other people who weren't subject to that like I was can't still appreciate it.
For me there is one answer, Freebird. One of the stations near me has to play that song daily and it pisses the hell out of me, song wasn't even great to begin with. In fact, they play way too much Skynard in general, I'm sick of just about every radio hit that band has. Same thing with Crue, though I've always hated them, and Van Halen. There are a couple of VH songs I like, but there are just so many mediocre or downright crappy singles from them that get played continuously on the radio and it never ceases to annoy me.
