1. Getting on your high horse about how gaming is superior to other forms of entertainment
2. Not being able to relate with anyone about Game of Thrones, Sports or Politics because all you do is game
3. Quoting Metal Gear Solid and no one having a clue what the **** you're talking about except your nerdy friends
4. Talking down to people on the internet for their "shit" taste in games.
5. Getting a high off of beating a really hard boss, just to go on message boards and smugly proclaim "that boss was easy"
6. Complaining about games you never played before on message boards (Credit: Paper Mario:TTYD)
7. Calling a popular game "Hot Garbage" then buying it anyway because all your bros got it.
8. Dedicating your life to a corporation, because the console wars are very real.
9. Being fat
10. The cool temperature of your parents basement in the hot summer
11. Comparing tech specs with others as a form of dickmeasuring, then calling them beta.

The best thing about being a gamer/gaming is the great diversity that you can experience within the medium. Either telling a story, challenging you with puzzles, pitting you against other players to see who comes out on top, being uplifting, scaring you to death, etc.

Being able to do something no matter the weather is my favorite reason!

Being able to pretend the outside world doesn't exist for extensive periods of time

The only form of media that you can do whilst being nude at all times and others not necessarily knowing/caring.

Nude art doesn't count.

Chick magnet.

Like a good book or a good movie

The best thing is the ability to relax and leave the world behind for a few hours.

Immersion is key and also the chance to meet new people around the world, people you share a common interest with.

Escapism. I hate dealing with the real world.

I forget about reality.

1. It's a status that is basically telling girls that we don't want to be annoyed by them trying to get our attention.

2. It gives us good appreciation for the simple pleasures of cheap dining, i.e energy drinks and chips.

3. Because gaming is pricey, it means we really are passionate for the hobby and it disciplines us from buying other things that will run our wallet.

I honestly don't know. If it weren't for me being a completionist hooked on achievements, I don't think I'd bother. Even though I think Fallout 4 is a great game, I will probably never play it again after I get 1000G.

It take my stress away and i feel like escaping from the reality. And also you can mingle new people in game.

I learned a lot about specific subjects from gaming as a kid. Everything from cars from racing sims to history from strategy games.

Not having to partake of the "Sports Happenings" conversations by all the armchair sports pro's that regurgitate whatever sports highlights they've watched at work.
