Now that you mentioned this I logged into a fighting game the other day and there were lots of Japanese players on it...they said they were "just chilling" That was a response I did not expected from them

I'm sure the Japanense kids are just like us....Its not their problem so why should they care. Their homes haven't been destroyed. Its sad but world keeps on spinning. Its just like when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans it was sad. But I really didn't care....better them then me I always say.
When I head to the store tomorrow I'll drop a 50 for them. Beside that I'm wishing them the best even though I bet it's hard to care that the world is wishing you well when your house got washed away and you've got missing or dead family members.
You guys donating are real sweethearts. And I really, really, really hope for you and the Japanese that the money will actually arrive and be used for good things. At least you try and do something. I'm really struggling with it inside.
I feel like I should go there, and do something to help. But I'm already scared when going to the stores here, and I'm not exactly capable of much. It's kind of an inner dilemma and no matter the outcome I'm going to feel miserable about it.
i donated to the red cross right away, its the only organisation in my country who help japan also i got a trip booked in before this happened and i have not yet cancelled... i know they need the tourist money and western japan is fine...but anything can happen but i really wish i can go cause i know western japan has begged tourists to come since theyre fine and if everyone cancel trips there too then it will affect japan even more that said, if the nuclear really screw up it will affect western too i guess, ill need to cancel trip then and i'll probably donate more money then instead
For people who are going to donate, do your due diligence on which organization you give to. After these sorts of events all types of charities pop up out of nowhere. Like with us and Haiti. Billions donated and no-one can account for it all.
As far as charities go. The American Red Cross gets one of the higher marks.
