I just picked up and started Pride and Prejudice and Zombies today. It's Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice, only this time with zombies.

I'm not reading anything at the moment. I'm not much of a book person. I prefer magazines and forums. :P

How is it? Thinking about picking it up, but a bit on the fence.
That book looks hysterical. My uncle is an English teacher, and he recommended this book to me. Anyway, I'm kind of in between books right now. I'm planning to get to "Odd Hours" eventually, as I love that series. I also have to read The Book Thief for summer reading, but it's supposed to be pretty good, so whatever.DeathHeart95Odd Hours is decent. The only one in that series I didn't care for too much was Brother Odd. I really didn't like what was going on in the monastery, too far fetched.
re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets today...great as ever
Now starting Prizoner of Azkaban
I have a lot of readin to do this summer:
Angels and Demons
The Shack (actual summer reading)
The Catcher in the Rye (summer reading)
The Soloist
Harry Potter series (except the first and maybe not the 6th)

I'm very early in, so I can't really say. It reads like a classic, though, so it's kinda hard for me to adjust to and get into because I've been reading nothing but modern novels lately. The King of the Elfland's Daughter by Lord Dunsany
Ancient Sorceries and Other Weird Storie by Algernon Blackwood
Let me tell you something, it seems awfully odd reading a couple of books with quotes by H.P. Lovecraft espousing their greatness.
Eknath Easwaran's translation of the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishadic text found in the Mahabharata, one of the two "epics" that go along with the four Vedas.
I am so buying Ender's Game now. I've been meaning to for a while, but this seals the deal. On-topic: I'm currently 50 pages away from the end of Rose Madder (Very, VERY good read. It just got better the further it went on. I recommend it to anyone). I need to choose between "Misery", "Gerald's Game" and "Salem's Lot" all by Stephen King :PI just finished Ender's Game, and it was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't let any children of mine read it, though. . .
I'm currently back on Crime and Punishment. I had a few detours. >_>

I'll probably be doing a lot of reading/writing this summer, any suggestions?halo3-playerWell, I'm sure you've read the Halo books, judging by your name, but if not, get started on those. :)

I've read a lot of Palahniuk. Lullaby was an interesting story. If you really want to read some good C.P., Fight Club, Choke, and Survivor are my favorite of his.im starting lullaby by chuck palahniuk. ive never read any of his novels, but my friend recommended him to me. from what i gather so far, its a big stylistic jump from the kafka ive been reading lately.

Still reading Moby-Dick. I was about to get off of here and finally start chapter 6. >.>scorch-62
I finished that book not too long ago. I liked it a lot, plus now I know more about whales and whaling than I ever wanted to.
Foucault's Pendulum is what I am currently reading.
I just got lolita, and am attempting to finish it as we speakblack_tempest
I started reading The Vampire Lestat the other day, very impressed so far. I also ordered the Ender Quartet (Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind), 1984, Eragon and Eldest yesterday.
I have already read Ender's Game and was very, very impressed. I can't wait to read the sequels, and then the Shadow's series after.
Edit: Aaronmullan, I have read Salem's Lot and loved it. One of my favourite King books.
I am reading loads of books on music as me and some friends are forming a band and I wanted to brush up on my music history (plus I find it interesting).
Almost finished with Sound of the Beast...
About 100 pages into Lords of Chaos.
And my copy of Swedish Death Metal arrived a few days ago. Haven't started yet.
EDIT: Can't forget this! Borrowed it from a good friend today.

The Road by Cormac McCarthyBored_EmployeeHave you read "The Crossing" ? I do believe its a trilogy but I haven't seen the third.
While we here, can anyone recommend me a real creepy story (no Dean Koonz). One of those ones where you're not quite sure what's happening but nasty stuff is going on, maybe it's supernatural.
Not IT, not The Stand, seen the films of those can't be arsed to read the book. Not a short story either, a novel.
