I'm reading a little non-fiction book called The Lexicon of Stupidity. Basically, it's just a collection of quotes and newspaper clippings and other things that are pretty stupid, such as "Instructions on a pack of American Airlines peanuts: Open bag, eat nuts."

I was thinking of re-reading Lord of the Rings. I sort of got started on it but then I just gave up. By "got started" I mean I got a page into the prologue. there's only so much "concerning Hobbits" that can be interesting (plus it was about 2-3am at the tme).

I'm rereading both the Lattimore and **** translations of the Iliad right now, sort of at the same time. I'm also reading Time Enough for Love, Heinlein.

The Counterlife by Philip Roth. It's a rambling tale of Jewish angst which I can't quite bring myself to finish (i've been trying to summon up the will for about 2 months now).

Misery was cool but Salem's Lot is way better.

Speaking for myself I'm reading The Gunslinger, so I have a long road ahead of me.

I love the King. Have read the majority of his work and it's great to know that I have such an epic saga still available to dig into.

To reiterate go with Salem's Lot for your next King book, it's the most phenomenal vampire story I have ever read.

Misery was great too, actually had a bit of trouble sleeping after reading it, but I took it all in the space of two sittings so it really worked it's way into my head.

Ever read The Long Walk from The Bachman Books? That was a one sitting for me and possibly my favorite of all King's stories.

I'm reading a book called "The Quauntum Ten" which concerns the drama involved with Quantum Theory and the ten most influential physicists that assisted in forming the theory. I'm also reading "The Complete Works of Shakespear" as well as a book known as "The Science Book" which is written by the same guys who write things on the site howstuffworks and deals with quite a few things including Geography, Astronomy, Geology, Biology and Mathematics.

the 2nd book and the 2nd season only sort of parallel. The third book is entirely entirely different.
