I just started Phantom by Terry Goodkind last night. I thought I read this book before, but apparently, I haven't. I came across Confessor in the library the other day, and that made me realize I never read Phantom, and I really want to read Confessor, so I need to get it out of the way. Any fans of the Sword of Truth series?JustPlainLucasI read up to book four and made it halfway through before I stopped to read Steven Erikson's The Malazan Book of the Fallen, which is the most epic series Ive ever read. Im on book seven waiting for book eight.
After hearing how awesome it was I decided to start getting into the Dark Tower series. So yes thats what I'm reading now.Rikardur
I'd like to get into that series, but I barely have enough time to read to get back into my Sword of Truth novels. :(
I finally decided to man-up and start reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. PBSnipesThis seems to be non-sense, to me.
You didn't start with Phantom, did you? You need to start with Wizard's First Rule.
Currently I've run out of interesting books to read, and a 36$ fine is making me a bit wary of the library right now, so I'm just re-reading my animorphs collection. They're short, however, so I doubt they'll last me much longer. :P
Once I get back to the library I'm going to get The Zombie Survival Guide, and some Terry Pratchett books.

I wish Terry Goodkind would get it clear that writing "fantasy novels" does not mean he should commit his "S&M fantasies" to paper :(xaosAgreed >_> The first book was so good. It toed that line. Then he was just like, well, I have fans, let's see how much I can subject them to.
I'm currently still reading through Lea Jacob's "The Decline of Sentiment - Amercian Film in the 1920's". It's a little dry but overall a fascinating book.
Just started listening to The Gunslinger audio book. I think I'm gonna pick up the book tho...ConBroIt's got huge letters and is easy to read thus far... I really wouldn't bother with the audio book.
I just got out of school, but we do have a summer reading assignment.
Since I'm in Regular LA, I get to read 2 free-choice novels.
Friday Night Lights by: H. G. Bissinger
The White Darkness by: Geraldine McCaughrean
Also for my AP Social Studies course, we need to read the first few chapters of
A People's History of the United States by: Howard Zinn
For Pleasure
Gossamer by: Lois Lowry
Sedaris definitely has a way with words; my first exposure to him was seeing a one man show adaptation of the Santaland Diaries. Funny stuffDress your family in corduroy and denim by David Sedaris
Good book...only have one more story to go.

I've only read the first 6 Sword of Truth-books, I currently dont have time to read the rest since I have a ton of other books ranking higher on my priority-list. Right now I am reading The Alexandria Quatret by Lawrence Durrell and Devils by Dostoyevski(spelling? ). Also some of the Cthulhu mythos when I am in horror-mood:D

Yeah this is the first time i've read anything by him. i didnt feel strongly about his writing until after I read about 5 stories, then he really grew on me and now i'm on a mission to read the rest of his work.
I used to love The Sword of Truth series very much, until Pillars of Creation. He basically wrecked the whole series for me beyond repair, after six books of these characters I grew to love he throws them to the roadside and starts with two new characters. It was disgusting, especially after how amazing Faith of the Fallen was. The characters were really bad to, that whole book was just garbage.
I've since found series that blow Goodkind out of the water: A Song of Ice and Fire, and Malazan Book of the Fallen
Anyway, now reading Giantslayer by William King
