What are your thoughts on Adele??

I never really payed her a lot of attention until recently where all radio stations started to play her songs and she appeared out of nowhere (to me) and won a couple of awards. People singing her songs, posting stuff about her on social media.

A lot of people I know love her and I gotta say while I'm more of a rock music type of guy she's a pretty darn good singer I'll grant her that.

Still I'm not a big fan of hers but dat voice!

So how bout you? What do you think of her? Love her? Hate her? Think the boyfriend is fake?

she has a great voice but i really only like 1 or two of her songs the rest start to sound samey and boring to me. I give her my praise though because so many artist out now are talentless hacks who cant really sing for nothing. Her just having a great non autotuned voice is a miracle to me.

Whenever she sings about her heart I'm worried it's not really to do with emotion, but some kind of medical condition.

Her music isn't too bad, actually. Obviously, she may not fit in the traditional look of a pop singer, but she's still cute.

She was okay to listen to for a few weeks... then the radio beat her songs to death. Now "Someone Like You" makes me want to punt a hamster.

After listening to the same song of hers every time a radio is on nearby, I hate her. Also I've heard most of two of her albums in passing. I still hate her. What awful music she makes.

Adele had the #1 album in the country for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks. It broke sales records. It was by far the highest-selling album of 2011. She'll probably win a bunch of Grammys for it. What more do you want? She is at least on the same level as Taylor Swift popularity-wise.

I'm just in awe over how many shallow people are saying "yeah she's okay- but she's fat!" and I just think '...REALLY?' I mean obviously she's a bigger girl, but that doesn't have anything to do with her music. And it's probably those same people who also scoff that the music industry is as talentless as it is because of that same attitude: people would rather see someone hot than talented. I dig her, she's got an amazing voice and I like that the concept of her album '21' being about the same guy. She's a talented song writer and even more talented of a singer. It was reversed with Winehouse. BEST LYRICS EVER WRITTEN BY ANYONE. 'Back To Black' is easily one of my favorite albums of alltime. But her voice started to deteriorate after all the drugs so people saddly don't remember the great voice she DID have. I like Amy over Adele despite Adele has the better voice, but that's because her lyrical content was more relatable and appealing. To me at least.JoeInWonderland
