What are your thoughts on Lil B, the hip-hop troll

Lil B is a rapper from Berkeley, California. He first came onto the scene with the group The Pack, known for their single "Vans". Eventually he started releasing solo material. He created hundreds of different myspace accounts and uploading different songs and freestyIes on all of them. To this day he's still very prolific with the material he releases, in all forms of media. He has multiple youtube accounts, the main one being this, where he has uploaded more than 200 music videos and has over 47 million views and 70K subscribers. He has written a book. And he currently has over 350k followers on Twitter.

With that being said, Lil B's greatest achievement is being the best troll in hip-hop history. Lil B is a great rapper when he wants to be and has made numerous songs showcasing this talent. But it is his other songs which have garnered him the most attention. Whether it's "Look Like Jesus" where he says "hoes on my d*** because I look like Jesus" or calling himself a "pretty b****", these are the type of songs he is most known for. These songs have by far the most views on his youtube account and it seems like he is always trying to think of new ways to gain attention. For example, he named his last album I'm Gay though he is heterosexual. And just this past week he made headlines for releasing a song called "I Got AIDS".

What are your thoughts on the Based God? I'm a fan. I enjoy a lot of his music, but there's plenty I don't really care for either. Some of his songs are just so ridiculous that I can't help but like them. Within the hip-hop community Lil B is more misunderstood than anything, especially by people who take his joke songs seriously.

I find his droney monotonous voice to be extremely irritating, yet I can see how he appeals to some. His songs really are varied in their meanings and emotions but I just can't get past that rapping voice, sounds like hes really bored or something.

The only song that made me lol was cailou freetyle. . but he is a nut tho.. lol Young_Charter

there's really nothing "lyrical" about the guy (even the examples you posted were mediocre at best), he just spits random **** over a beat.

I'd never think about calling one of his albums/mixtapes one of my favorites but some of his "based freestyIes" or whatever are pretty fun. Some of his more serious songs like "I Hate Myself" are pretty solid too. He has no quality control though so you really have to sift through the crap.

i think hes a wierdo douche like the rest of the new school wave or skinny face tattoo dudes these days lol. the only rapper i listen to these days is max b. too bad hes pretty much doing life in prison...it really is true when they say that all the best ones are either dead or in jail.

Lil B - "I Been Wayyveyy"

I hadn't even heard this song until recently, Based God is down with the Wave God lol. If you think about it, Max B's Wavy movement isn't all too different from Lil B's Based movement.
