What are your top 3 War Movies?

So what is your guys favorite war movies. when i think of a war movie I think of a movie that gives me more emotion then action and make me think for a second and wounder how I would react in the situation. (Though the action is cool and all) here is my top 3 and what is your guys fav war movies?

1: Full metal Jacket= this movie may not be the most visualy impressive but the characters are some of the best movie characters of all time! for example Animal Mother, Hartman, Joker and much more. Nothing beats prank calling with Hartmans boot camp quotes lol

2: ApocalypseNow= this moviegives me the creeps. The ending is some of the most creepy images ever created in a war movie not becasue it is scary but because ofthe music is perfect and the movie is well craftedand a perfect blend ofBAMF andmaking me think.

3: AllQuiet on the Western Front (1930)= The early stages of movie making and a impressive oneto. The battle scenes are amazing and thestory was just so good, I felt attached to the characters like they were my comrades.

I didn't like Full Metal Jacket once it got to the actual war portion of the movie. Boot camp scenes were hilarious though. Enemy at the Gates is also a badass sniper film, I'd rank 4th.

I like saving private ryan but I think of it kinda imature compared to the other war movies in the sense that it is much more action oriented
