Just had a drive to the store. On the way there, I notice a hummer in my rearview mirror driving up pretty fast. Now it's a 45mph area and I'm going about 55, so he had to be going at least 60-65. So as the hummer comes up behind me I keep my eye on it. It drives all the way up to my bumper and slams on the brakes. By this time, I've already had a heart attack. My little 99 Honda Civic vs a freaking Hummer. No contest.

Anyways, the part that continues to piss me off was that he kept driving behind me. Like bumper to bumper. For about a half a mile. I don't know why this pisses me off but it just does. I find myself saying "Get off my ass" when this happens. Even though they can't hear me.

What say you, OT?

People who are overly cautious. People who are reckless. People who don't know where they are going and act like they are the only ones on the road. Motorcyclists.

Disrespectful of the driver behind you TC... He is playing with your life...

I hate drivers who got no respect for others in the traffic, and people using bikes (not the motor driven ones) who thinks that they have completely different laws to obey when on the road.

Best response to that is to slow down which will annoy him further giving him no choice but to overtake, or bumper to bumper you at v low speeds:D

I abhor motorcyclists. I don't think bicyclists get enough respect on the road. This coming from someone who enjoys mountain biking and dislikes 'roadies'. I've kep ttrack in recent year and I can honestly and whithout hyperbole say that I've seen no more than 5% of motorcyclists operating their vehicle responsibly. And that's only when they are around me, who knows how often they ride around like they have God Mode on and completely disregard the other vehicles around them. It kills me that there a campaign for automobile users to 'Check Twice' for motorcyclists. Why is that? Because they are always going 30 mph over the speed limit or is it because they think any space adjacent to a car, irregardless of whether it is a marked lane is for their use?

Tailgaters or speeders are the worst for me. I'm not going to get a ticket just so you can get to your destination 30 seconds sooner. Makes me want to slam on the brakes so they wreck.

NJ knows how to keep the flow going on Rt 80. I feel like I always get stuck behind some New York driver that thinks its okay to do the posted speed in the far left lane.

People who drive around cars in line for something - like when there's a merge ahead (for construction, for instance), and most people will dutifully merge, alternating one-by-one. But there's always those few people (probably in BMWs) that go around the people merging and push themselves all the way in the front at the last second.

I'm not talking about highways. Nothing is preventing you from passing me on the highway if you feel the need to go 20 miles over the speed limit.

And your little "insult" was immature. I don't speed, so I'm afraid to drive.

1) Trucks. I don't know why, but I hate them. Especially on the thruway, and especially when a truck is passing another truck because the truck is going 2 mph faster than the other.

2) People who stop to take a right turn.

3) People who don't let you pass them. They go slow, but when you try to pass them, they speed up.

4) People who tailgate. I don't want to go at a speed that I am not comfortable with. Don't mind if you pass me when it's safe and legal, but please don't tailgate.

5) People who cut me off.

6) People who are reckless.

7) Motorcyclists who think just because they have a small vehicle, they can go anywhere.

8) People who blast music that you can hear in your own car with windows up.

9) People in that travel in the left lane that has no business in the left lane. You pass on the left.

That reminds me. I hate bright headlights. Especially on a road where there's only one lane going each direction and there's no median and the person with the bright headlights is going the opposite direction of you. Blindness usually follows.

I'm perfectly fine going 5 miles over the speed limit on single lane roads. (depending on the speed limit of course)

But I'm certainly not going to pull over for the jerk that wants to go 10-15 miles over the speed limit. I just keep an eye on them but mostly ignore them. They usually turn off onto a different road pretty quickly. :P

People who think the highway left lane is the "fast lane" instead of the "passing lane." If you're not passing anyone, or aren't going fast enough to do it in a few seconds, then GET OUT.

mostly just slow drivers. I have my own little song when I get stuck behind them and it goes something like this, "Let's drive like people. Let's drive like normal people who have places to get to with things to do."

Nobody better steal my obviously genius song.

i'm annoyed at how many people have rear ended my truck!!! my trailer hitch usually stabs their grill lol, but the annoying part is the fact that i STILL have to pull over and look at the back...or stop in general. Never once has a rear ender accually damaged the back, but i get tired of saying "nope...I'm fine...your front end looks ALLL jacked up...dont rear end a 4x4! wanna call the cops for kicks??? no? ok have a nice day!!!"
