we're fans of every band that we listen to, but what bands are you actually devoted to? devoted as in, drive 4 hours to see them, stay after a show to try and meet them, ect.

i'm devoted to the Cruxshadows. after seeing them 3 times, i've grown really attached to Rogue. he's a wonderful person who really cares about his fans. i'm also devoted to Pride and Fall. i went all the way to Montreal to see them. i'm also devoted to Eden Synthetic Corps, the Birthday Massacre, Combichrist, and numerous other little known bands that i've been trying to help promote.

System of a Down!!!!! They's been broken up for almost3 years now.. Well, officially it's a "hiatus" but everyone knows the score... Anyways, even if they're broken up, their spirit will live on.

None really.

I used to be like that for The Mars Volta, but after The Bedlam In Goliath I was a bit "ehhh" and then after hearing Octahedron, I'm certainly not a die hard fan anymore.

Frances The Mute is still an incredible album though.

Escape the Fate. I have not been able to meet them after yet because my rides always like to leave early. I have been with them through thick and thin. I have made it past the drama with the singer wars of Ronnie and Craig. I still support them and they will always be my favorite.

Also if Emperor ever does a reunion show, I will be there.

Los Campesinos! The cool thing is that they're really cool with their fans, and they hang out with people after the show. They're even the ones selling their own merch behind the table, so it's very easy to talk to them. I've only seen them one time, but it was the best night of my life, and their blog is the only one I read each and every day.

Nine Inch Nails. I've seen 9 shows, met them (TR) once pre-show, and have every release on CD, and on CD unopened. Plus about $1500.00 in concert lithographs.

I'm waiting for the release, but I heard Cotopaxi a while ago. I liked it, but I can't imagine really getting into The Mars Volta when it's mellow for more than 2 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I think Televators is a masterpiece, but I listen to them for their more loud songs like Take The Veil.

Just because it's not guitar wankery does not mean its simple though. The Beatles had some pretty complex songs in their later period. Listen to "A Day In The Life" and maybe you'll see what I mean.

Well then... prepare to be somewhat disappointed most likely. Cotopaxi isn't like anything else on the CD and is definitely the "crazy" song of it. There were only like two tracks that really stood out for me though.
