1984 by George Orwell. Great book so far.LZ71I've been about half way through that book for the past 2 years or so. I'm gonna have to start from the beginning if I start it up again.

You basically have to read the entire thing all the way through at one time, or you won't remember anything. :P
I just finished up Hamlet. Shakespeare's comedies are better than his tragedies. And I'm about halfway through Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" It's a fantastic book, so far.
The Hobbit even though I read all the Lord of the Rings books. I want to get this out of the way before the Hobbit film comes out in the next couple of years.

I love fiction :P
You say that like people think it's a history book. I'm reading The Lost Symbol, which hopefully I'll finish within a few days so I can get to Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes because it's October and Bradbury is absolutely incredible. And TC, that GWB gif is halarious.[QUOTE="Sacif"]

yeah, but that fiction is soooo boring.Genesis is pretty interesting. Then it takes an incredibly crappy turn with Leviticus. At least the teachings of Genesis were woven into a story. Leviticus just lists rules, and dumb rules at that. I like my shell fish and sex with men, thanks. :P

Genesis? Genesis says that there's a guy who can create the Universe in 6 days, but then is pooped. He didn't have to do it in 6 days. Its not like a building's gonna blow up...In 25 f'n seconds!Matrix had some better action.

You read the Bible expecting action? Well, no wonder you didn't like it. :P

The part where god went from a raging dbag to redeeming the world through love was pretty awesome. Nothing like a bipolar sky-wizard :D

no; I was just saying that its boring. Someone said it wasn't and I rebutted.Casual reading: "The Essential Vedanta" by Eliot Deustch
School reading: 'Western Attitudes Towards Death" by Philippe Aries
Soon I'm going to start reading "Sannyasa Upanishads" by Patrick Olivelle for a paper I'm doing.
I don't really like Freud; I think that there can be accidents. Subconscious isn't THAT powerful.[QUOTE="SpAsM86"]
The Future of an Illusion - Sigmund Freud

yeah, you may have a point, he's a bit outdated, but until i find better books on the subject i'm going to continue reading Freud since his observational and analytical powers are some of the best i've seen
I might have read it wrong, but I think there was something about guys running 5 minute miles in boots![QUOTE="valttu"]
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. It's SO good!

I stopped reading after that.
A five mile run is a part of their daily exercise, I don't remember how fast they run it though...Please Log In to post.
