I've been about half way through that book for the past 2 years or so. I'm gonna have to start from the beginning if I start it up again. :lol: It's that kind of book. You basically have to read the entire thing all the way through at one time, or you won't remember anything. :P
I just finished up Hamlet. Shakespeare's comedies are better than his tragedies. And I'm about halfway through Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" It's a fantastic book, so far.
Tangerine - Edward Bloor The Pearl - John Steinbeck The Last Lecture - I forgot the author. Tangerine is terrific, The Pearl is boring and The Last Lecture is good.
I was just thinking how odd it is that whenever these threads are made it's usually by a guy who's reading some non-fiction book...it's almost like they're trying to look really intelligent...just saying.
The Hobbit even though I read all the Lord of the Rings books. I want to get this out of the way before the Hobbit film comes out in the next couple of years.
You say that like people think it's a history book. I'm reading The Lost Symbol, which hopefully I'll finish within a few days so I can get to Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes because it's October and Bradbury is absolutely incredible. And TC, that GWB gif is halarious.
Genesis is pretty interesting. Then it takes an incredibly crappy turn with Leviticus. At least the teachings of Genesis were woven into a story. Leviticus just lists rules, and dumb rules at that. I like my shell fish and sex with men, thanks. :P

Great books loved all three. I just finished reading Confessor by Terry Goodkind and The Sorcerers Plague by David B. Coe. I am currently reading Shaman's Crossing by Robin Hobb.

We'll I've aways wanted to read the Harry Potter books. But I could never justify spening so much time reading 'childrens books'. So instead I'm trying to read them in german - that way I'lll actually gain something from them.

no; I was just saying that its boring. Someone said it wasn't and I rebutted.
I'm not reading anything casually at the moment (although I did finish Cannery Row (Steinbeck) a few days ago), and I'm starting Wealth of Nations (Smith) for my core hum class tomorrow.
I don't really like Freud; I think that there can be accidents. Subconscious isn't THAT powerful.
yeah, you may have a point, he's a bit outdated, but until i find better books on the subject i'm going to continue reading Freud since his observational and analytical powers are some of the best i've seen
