For me, I've read the following starting from the start of Summer (June 20) to present:

Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles

A Series of Unfortunate Events 13: The End

The BabySitter I

The BabySitter II

The BabySitter III

The BabySitter IV

Night x2 (I read it twice this Summer, and once in eighth grade.)

What say you?

Information off of books? Huh!?

But yeah... I could without most of them... I really did like A Series of Unfortunate Events 13: The End and Night an awful lot, though. The other five... I could do without. It's a shame "The BabySitter" series was so bad, because I love R.L. Stine. I also don't like how the first three were realistic and could happen to anyone, and how the fourth one had supernatural stuff going on. That was just stupid. Ghosts fighting each other to the... death? and the like.

American Psycho by Bret Easton Elis
Choke, Survivor, and Rant by Chuck Palahniuk

I still have a few more to read.

It's good; not great, but good.

I recommend reading it. Elie Wiesel can write really well, but a few parts were kind of boring/dull. But I guess the Halocaust was full of those moments.

It's short, anyway. Shouldn't take you more than two or three hours.

I read Lord of the Flies last year and was extremely disappointed.

The movie was even worse.

It wasn't bad; just painfully mediocre.

I read that book last year also. It was for a class I took. The book is extremely over hyped imo. And yes, the movies were even worse. Both the old and new one.

Just finishing

"Gravity's Rainbow" - Thomas Pynchon
"The Wind Up Bird Chronicles" - Haruki Murakami

One hell of a messed up duo. Excellent books though.

Yeah, that series was the last thing I ever read on my spare time. Last book I read was the 7th in that series in 2006. Seriously.

Heinlein is a superb writer.

I had pretty much stopped reading... picked it up 2 weeks ago.

I read Hubert Reeves's autobiography, and now in the process of reading a book called "L'éloge de la fuite", a book from a french neurologist explaining why sometimes it's better, or we feel it's better, to run away from things than to confront our realities...

Yeah, but I honestly LOVED the last Lemony Snicket book. 8 was my favorite, followed by 7. I thought 9, 10, 11, and 12 were pretty bad, but 13 was awesome! I read 12 and finished it in seventh grade and just stopped. I had no interest in finishing up the series, but this Summer (I'll be in tenth grade this August 18, 2008.) I decided to give it another go. It seriously was a hell of a lot better than I expected. I also found it to be quite humorous, as well.

Harry Potter...? EVERYONE reads those books. I wouldn't call those children books. I actually thought they got a lot darker with each installment.

Last Summer, I read some of "those books," like Farenheit 451, The Catcher in the Rye, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lord of the Flies, Romeo & Juliet, and the like.

This Summer's been quite different, though.
