For me... Browser: Firefox 13 Add ons: Flag Fox, Better Privacy, Ad Block Plus and Ghostery I was a No Script user but I have an anti-malware filter for ABP and Ghostery does a good job at blocking all the tracking scripts without screwing up the websites itself, I just found No Script to be more trouble than its worth..

I'm not sure, haven't used Chrome or AdBlock. I also heard that AdBlock Plus on Firefox is different from the AdBlock Plus than Google Chrome. I only use Chrome for websites I am forced to use such as the website for my college and other websites I have to use for school work, and I do so without any add ons to make sure the websites will run correctly. For everything else I use Firefox for.

Opera 12. Adblock, slim scrollbar, one that blocks youtube ads, and a two more to download stuff from youtube, both as video and mp3.

Beta means it is in its testing phase. Since ad ons are free why don't you just try ad block plus when you get the chance?

Eh, I'm fine with my current AdBlock for now. Used to visit TV Tropes, but their ad providers apparently don't check for Adware that somehow stops AdBlock from blocking it. Got several viruses from those ads, so now I don't visit it anymore.

You really should get ad block plus, most ad blocker just hide the ads so you don't see them. Ad block plus actually blocks the ad scripts so not only do you don't see them, you don't even load them so there is no chance of getting adware. It even blocks ads on videos and such, but that creates some problems as websites are getting smarter and sometimes videos will refuse to play if you block their ads (youtube doesn't do it though). Of course this is all from my experience with Firefox's ABP, I heard Google Chrome's ABP is different.

I've been using adblock for at least 5 years now. Ads fvcking suck and I freak out every time I see one.

I actually had stopped watching TV because I can not stand commercial breaks anymore. A few months ago I started feeling guilty I was denying websites I enjoyed money so uninstalled all ad and tracking blockers, I told myself it wouldn't be so bad because I use to do this all the time. One of the worst mistakes I've ever made! Ads have gotten WORST! Now there are commercials before and after youtube videos, there are ad banners that pop up during videos, there are ads that pop up over your screen when you are reading a webpage, and there are ads that now play sound even if you never told them to! But the last straw was a nasty ad that made my browser crash and froze my PC for about a minute before my anti-virus telling me it successfully blocked a virus. If websites aren't going to give a sh*t about my safety and make sure the ads aren't just safe but legit and legal (I have seen ads for emulators on this website despite the fact GameSpot mods tell us they're illegal and we're not allowed to talk about them) I don't see why I should give a sh*t about their revenue and job security.

I pause my adblock when I watch videos on thatguywiththeglasses because I like them and want to support their content, but beyond that I really don't care.

ad blocker is pretty much built into opera letting you add advertisement addresses so I just stick to that to avoid clutter.
