What celebrity death has shocked you the most?

I noticed people here tend to make a poke, or somewhat insult a celebrity that died. But I'd like to know if there's anyone that truly felt shocked or sad of a celebrity that died. Anyone up to share?

None actually shock me, since I naturally assume all of Hollywood is addicted to drugs. Most surprising was probably Micheal Jackson's. That just kinda came out of nowhere.

Michael Jackson's was pretty out of the blue. Brittany Murphy also since I had no idea she had issues.

No one. Call me when will smith, obama, or arnold dies.

Dio. I wish he was still around and working on Magica 2.

None. It would've happened eventually anyway. :/

agreed,also dimebag because of the circumstances it was out the blue and my hopes as a 13 y/o pantera fan at the time mean that all hope of a pantera re-union were smashed :(

I don't know about "shocked", but the recent death of Richard Wright affected me the most, considering his prior band membership.

Devastating no doubt. While few people think of him when thinking of Pink Floyd, he made huge contributions to their music.

Heath Ledger for me. I was really shocked when he passed away.

Easily Layne Staley, I remember being in complete shock that it happened especially at the time with the AIC renioun rumors. RIP Layne. :(

None of the recent ones have surprised me except Brittany Murphy, only because I wasn't aware of her situation. Heath Ledger's death was a bit of a shock too, but that's about it. MJ's wasn't because he looked like he death warmed over for a long time (practically a walking skeleton), and Billy Mays always seemed so high-strung that it didn't surprise me either.

I feel guilty for posting this.
