So what condition will the Earth be in 100 years from now? Will it be worse then it is now, or better? Will their be another World War perhaps?

it will probably be the same unless the worlds population is like 20 billion then life would suck, but if we have developed reasonably advanced space travel then it will better just for that (i wanna be an astronaut:cry:), a hundred years is a long time so anything could happen, there could be a huge war, white people may enter the endangered list or there could be another cold war most likely between the EU and china
The only certainty is that in 100 years people will still be fighting and people will still be dying. Will the world be a better place? Maybe not. Will the world be worse off? Hopefully not. In the end, we will not know anything for certain until that future time becomes the present.mindstormI like this answer.
My guess is that all meals will be in capsule form, vehicles will run on vegetable oil or water, and you'll be able to post on OT with your mind.

these are all pretty standard things,You're assuming that we'll survive that long. Global warming, swine flu, pollution, war......the list is endless.

global warming as a man made thing has not been proved-humans have survived one major climate change and we can survive another one,
swine flu is just another epidemic like the spanish flu or bubonic plague-it's bad but in the end it makes humans stronger,
pollution has been around since industrialisation and will be around as long as humans live in massive cities
and war has been around since humans began living in villages and will be around forever-war is not a inherently bad thing as lots of technological advances are made such as the jet engine and rocket technology which wouldn't have taken off (excuse the pun) without ww2
Im guessing that at some point in the next 100 years we will experience some form of global war and most likely of the nuclear variety. I just dont see us making it another 100 years without something MAJOR happening.
There were two global wars in the past 100 years. Unfortunately I can't help but believe the same thing.Im guessing that at some point in the next 100 years we will experience some form of global war and most likely of the nuclear variety. We will still be fighting over resources and beliefs, only with much cooler, although terribleweapons
pretty much the same I'd bet.
small towns will become large, large cities will get dirtier, but outside of that I'd say the same

With all the tech being made for a greener Earth I think things will be better than now, but I think right now we haven't hit the peak of how worst it is if you understand what I'm saying.
As soon as it was possible to get from one place to another rather quickly, two global wars happened. Of course there couldn't have been a global war before the steam engine or air flight.Sure, 2 global wars in the past 100 years, but how many global wars were before then? Its possible for another global war, but its possible for there to be no new global wars either.

Of course there could have been, it would have just taken a longer time.
At the rate we are depleting resources and destroying the environment I recon we will be much worse off in 100 years. Will the situation improve afterwards? Perhaps, it depends when we finally decide to change our economic system and when we finally decide to get rid of corporations who are only accountable to profit.

i agree
Overpopulation will be a huge problem, and the western world will not be as all dominating as it was before. Fighting for ressources seems inavoidable, although I doubt oil will play the same role as it did, alternative energy sources will have been fully developed and spread centuries before, and if not fusion energy will probably be a good supplier. The fight will more likely be about, earth and space, food in general. A good guess would be that in 100 years, the amount of people will have reached the sustainable limit.
Then there are two courses of action:
a) Total war
b) start pumping mars with carbondioxide! (to get that atmosphere going on!
Did you know that we can fit all 6 billion humans in a land mass the size of Texas? Also due to mass production/farming and the use of pesticides, food won't be much of an issue either (for most of the world atleast).Overpopulation will be a huge problem, and the western world will not be as all dominating as it was before. There will most likely be a large scale war most likely due to resources, however we might've found the secret to fusion by then. The future is not something you can accurate 100% predict, as it is always changing. You can't predict the future, it constantly changes. If we could predict the future, then what would be the point to living? You would already know your future and most likely lose the will to live if it was grave and not in your favour. Not knowing what the future holds for us is what keeps us going every day, as we strive to make our future the way that we want it, not according to some prediction. Although this brings in the whole kerfuffle as to whether destiny, etc exists so I'll stop.
Let me make a quick correction. There is no such thing as Global Warming, its just a media word. The actual term is climate change. This planet will soon reach 7 billion people, as much some people dont like think about it. With more people on the planet comes new challenges, as in increase demand for resources. I predict there will be a few large famines and plague throughout this century that could contribute a mass death of a billion or so people. You're assuming that we'll survive that long. Global warming, swine flu, pollution, war......the list is endless.
