I'm sure you get this a lot, but New Zealand looks beautiful from what I've seen in Lord of the Rings. Do you know of any good hiking trails?
Been around a large chunck of western-europe!

haha I kind of just hatched this idea after you mentioned New Zealand, but I'm actually considering planning a hike out there before I finish college. I'm not familiar with any of the regions but a roundtrip flight to Auckland (I picked that just to get an idea of how expensive itis to fly to New Zealand)is around $1500, which i could cover. Do you know of any bigger trails that are 100+ miles?

Lol well in my region (Nelson) there are a couple of lakes surrened by mountaines one of which
I have hiked up called Mount Robert not sure bout the 100+ miles but it takes the good part of a day
but I was with a school group so we were going a bit slower than I wud of Liked, ne way it's worth it coz
up the top is a beautiful veiw and in winter there is an abandoned snow feild further up which was fun also.
