I looked through my favorite songs (tho I'm not finished with the list) and the 90s was the decade that won out. 80s came in at a pretty close second with the 60s, 70s, and 2000s all being pretty much equal with eachother. I'd say that's pretty accurate since the 90s is my favorite musical decade overall.

What about you?

My music preference consists of techno, most notably from ParagonX9 and Kisune^2, with some epic operatic scores form Two Steps from Hell and such. Both of which came around in that decade, so yeah.

The 1970s, by far. The 60s and 80s are both full of great music but nothing even begins to compare to the 1970s. The 90s were okay but the "oughts" were terrible and the beginning of this decade hasn't been good.

You wot m8? I like some modern music but that is just not even something I heard of, sounds like some stuff you drop acid to and stare at the ceiling fan. Anyways, you should really consider listening to other genres.

I do, and that's simply my favourite. I have a seemingly rare prefference to prefer songs without lyrics. That's not saying I hate songs with lyrics though.

And if you really don't know. ParagonX9, Two Steps from Hell. Very different music styles but that's just my personal prefference as it's the music that provokes the most emotion in me.

Well alrighty then. If I am gonna listen to something without words I might as well make it classical music or something. As far as emotion goes the only thing techno provokes in me is the idea of punching someone in the face most of the time.

I do like some electronic music, but I do have to say I find the vast majority of it that I've heard to be soulless.

Listened to a bit of that. Too repetitive for my tastes, but undoubtedly better sounding than all that cheap-sounding techno out there.

There's a reason actual Techno is repetitive though. It has almost hypnotic effects that can help you forget what you're doing and just dance the night away in bliss. (Polyrhythmic) techno, funk and maybe house make for the best party music.

My favorite music comes from 80's - 90's. I love metal music and bands like Metallica, Judas Priest, Saxon, Helloween etc are the best imo.
