What did you think of the Sherlock Holmes movie?

I thought pretty well of it. It was better than most movies, not fantastic, but still a pretty good movie, but what did you think of it?

Haven't seen it. I expect to give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I was pleasantly surprised, and Downey Jr. made a GREAT Holmes.

Thought it was awesome. Can't wait for the next one.

I thought it was embarrassing - they reduced Holmes to a simplifed action movie and not even a good one at that. The character himself, not only mumbles, but is a completely obnoxious and dislikeable buffoon. The female characters were superfluous, the villain was of the 'take over the world' variant. I'm also a bit over slow-motion fight scenes too. It was a really lazy, boring movie to me and I hate to think what they'll do with the sequel. Its in my bottom 10 films of the year. You can guess where.

It was alright, but it would've been better if it hadn't tried to be Sherlock Holmes at all. The Let's Use Slo-Mo As A Metaphor For His Quick Thinking fight scenes were really lame, and the near-the-ending bit where Sherlock explained everything in two minutes felt more like a collection of obscure visual queues than the coming together of an actual mystery based on clues and reasoning. And really, the plot as a whole didn't do a lot to keep me interested.

Also, it should've had more bromance between Holmes and Watson.

I thought it was boring.

went and saw it while nursing a bad hangover....a lot went on and couldn't really understand a lot...
when i bought it and watched it again and really understood everything i loved it

I liked it, but IMO for sherlock holmes it needed less action and more thinking/smartness

I seen Sherlock Holmes just because my friend wanted to watch it. ;)

In the end I was surprised how good it was.Can't wait for the next one.

Good fun. A bit long for an action movie, and I'd have enjoyed it more if they'd changed the names of the protagonists, but ideal for a slow evening with the family.jimmyjammer69
