What do I do about my messed up situation? (death threats)

Two days ago my old co-worker phoned me and asked me if I wanted to join his power washing business. I said yeah and we went door to door, and some lady hired us for a small job for $20. Then my friend talked to her neighbor and got us a garabge/house roof job for $150. There were 3 of us and we only stayed for about 2 hours then we said we would come back tomorrow. We came back the next day but I had to leave my 2 friends because I had to go to work and I ended up being late over helping them. My friend told me that they argued for half of the money and the old man didnt want to give half, he said they had to finish the whole job then they get paid. One of my friends rage quit when he heard that. Then today my friend called me in the morning and told me it's just an hour job so we could finish it today. We went up on the roof and it looked like it was going to take way more than one hour, and I had to start leaving for work again, and I told my friend that I had to go. He ended up doing a halfass job on the roof and it looked bad. He also didn't do one side because it would have sprayed everything on the lady's house next to us.

He told the old man that we were done and the old indian man actually climbed up the huge ladder with one step ladder in his hand, and actually managed to get up the roof on a BAD angle. On the first day it took me and my two friends to get that step ladder up the ladder, so that old man just made us look weak.

So the old man was mad and was saying I see moss everywhere and my friend started arguing with him and saying that he didnt do one side of the roof because it would spray all over the neighbors house, and they just started arguing and once again I had to go to work so I started packing up the hoses and power washer and threw it in my car. Then I was rushing so much that I forgot my wallet on the bench. While we were in the car my friend was mad and saying that hes gonna throw a molotov on the house and burn it down. He told his friend who is a gangster and that owns our power washer and his friend was mad. My friend wanted me to turn around and go back so his friend could yell at him and probably threaten the old man on the phone. My friend said his friend is going to "break the old mans neck infront of his wife" and all these threats of what he's going to do to him. Now if they do anything like break his windows, the old man probably has all my information right now because I had no time at all to go back for my wallet. my friend is leaving the city tonight so I told him i would go back to the old mans house and finish the job myself. im a newb at power washing so i would probably do a sucky job. now im in a messed up situation cause my friend is defiently going to at least smash his windows, and probably beat the old man up but the old man has my information and what if i get framed for doing it.

what should I do? should I tell my friend i finished the job and give him $150 out of my own pocket and say that the old man gave it to me? i need to get out of this situation before something f'd up happens. im never working with this guy again.

im going back tomorrow for my wallet, but im going to freakout if he denys having my wallet.

Why would you have to give him $150? I thought you were given $150 to split between the three of you? seems like you'd only have to give him $50.Baconbits2004

This may sound rude and out of place, but if you REALLY are in an awful situation, why would you ever EVER go to an off topic discussion in a game forum for such dire assistance?

Sounds like the old man paid 3 people to do some work and they did a terrible job.

About to go all inception. What if you already broke his windows, strangled him in front of his wife, and threw a molotov at his house, you get home and remember that you forgot your wallet at his house and make this thread to use as evidence that it wasn't you. You say it was your friend but he is now "out of town". Just a possibility.

Sorry to say it but your friend sounds like a real punk. So he's making death threats and planning to smash this dudes property and beat him up over something like that? someone oughta tell your friend to grow the hell up.

Anyways just go back and see if you can get your walet and maybe try to reason with the guy over the pay. Maybe if you can do a decent enough job he'll pay the rest and everything will be smooth?

heres what you do, go back to the house, talk to the old man and apologize for what your "friend" did and tell him that youll finish the job yourself, tell him that you left your wallet there and would like to know if he has found it or not, finish the job and then tell the old man that if he does have any issues with your other friend that he should call the police on your friend

and truthfully, thats a pretty pathetic friend to put you in a situation where you might get in a lot of trouble for his own lack of judgment
