It must be nice place to live :) And I rarely hear anything bad about English people. Rowan Atkinson, my favorite comediann is from there.
You guys got a lot of tea.
They're called "cookies" damn it!
Roundabouts are annoying.
The people are very friendly. . .almost too friendly. >_> What are you planning?:o

A couple of generations of moderate influence from the US has done at least some good over here.
I don't think anyone else in the world really sees much of it, but when the british are among their fellow british, they like to moan. a lot. about the weather, the football, the cricket, the government, work, their home, the wife or husband, we moan about anything!Mr_sprinklesYou're whining about whiners!

I think it's mainly been because of improvements to the NHS. Wether or not you like labour government, they have improved a lot of public services.[QUOTE="Mr_sprinkles"]I don't think anyone else in the world really sees much of it, but when the british are among their fellow british, they like to moan. a lot. about the weather, the football, the cricket, the government, work, their home, the wife or husband, we moan about anything!JandurinYou're whining about whiners!

I'm an American and I really like the English culture, history and music (most of your music, anyway :D ). I like to think of England as one of our friends, even though sometimes it seems like everyone hates us these days. England is definitely one of the three or four places I want to visit the most before I die... but it's just waaaay too expensive right now :( I'd almost like to spend a month or two over there to see what life is like.
As a people, england quite likes you too. Its the monkey in charge that we don't like, along with some little cultural things. But yeah, most of the Americans that i've met have been nice enough people.I'm an American and I really like the English culture, history and music (most of your music, anyway :D ). Ugh. Although I'm not a great fan of labour, and I'm really not a fan of gordon brown, conservatives just aren't my cup of tea. Lib dems will never get anywhere without election reform and PR though.[QUOTE="james28893"][QUOTE="Mr_sprinkles"][QUOTE="james28893"][QUOTE="effthat"][QUOTE="james28893"][QUOTE="effthat"]Bad Teeth, Good Beer, SOCCER riots, tea at 2, fish and chips, and big ben

I live in the south west, down in somerset, so I'm not really paying all that much attention to london elections. What about the whole London elections, or do you live elsewhere?

I quite like England. Only been there 4 times, but they were good times. London is pretty vibrant and the country as a whole has a history, unlike most others. They have the best football leagues (not just the Premiership) and immigration is not as bad as the Conservatives make it out to be. It is the main part of the UK, which is arguably the strongest constituency in Europe.
So not bad.
