I don't understand your question. There is no unbiased source when it comes to religion, everyones just like, "I'm right because my faith has more proof" or "I'm right because its logical". Do you want to get the definition of atheism or people's opinions?

All people are different so not everyone is going to believe in God. That's why I don't mind atheism as long as they don't tell me I'm wrong, cause I don't tell them they are. No one knows if God exists, so no one at this stage has a proven answer.

Atheists believe there is no God(s). That is about as unbiased as you can get.

not sure what your asking exactly, butI'm agnostic and I associate myself with atheists more. I may even say that Atheists and agnostics are really the same thing, just agnostics are more hesitant to see thingsbe black and white :P

I think what TC means is a multi-sided opinion, atheists and theists generally both have biased opinions on atheism. Some advice to TC would be to ask some questions as to what exactly your asking. Here's some example of questions - Why people are atheists? Do most atheists have a moral code? Are they more or less moral than theists? Do atheists tend to be more intelligent than theists?

Basically that they don't have faith in a deity or higher being. Nothing bad really.

I would like to know where most of them got the 'concept of god' from. Because if they don't gasp this concept of why other people believe it, first, they wouldn't be atheists at the end of the process.

In my experience most atheists don't believe in a higher being or deity because it is irrational to them. They base their conclusions on reduction. If one can't see, hear, smell, touch, taste, or measure something in some fashion or another then it does not exist unless proven otherwise. Most (not all) of them believe in the concept of proof, but also see debunking something and the absense of evidence for something as the same thing, which in my eyes is flawed logic.... Humans are not all knowing so we cant not rule out things in which we have not proven to be false.

Personaly I just cant fathom how the universe, life, and consciousness came to light from nothing. I mean try convincing someone that a scale model of our solar system made itself, they would think you' were stupid. However when looking at the real thing it's hard for many people to even consider that any form of intelligence could of had a hand in the formation of it.

Whether God from the Bible is true or not is isn't too important, what's important is to be open to the possibility that there could be a vastly higher intelect out there that has the knowledge and capability to create something like matter, the laws of physics, and the universe in general. Anyway, I'll leave it at that since I kind of went on a mini tangent. Gamespot really isn't the place to be discussing topics like this anyway :P

Leaving god out of the equation is not the same as saying that it came from nothing .

*insert obligatory section about where this god character came from*

There could be, but i don't see the point in presuming the existence of a being like that.

There is "unbiased" source on atheism. Atheist may be biased towards it but theists are biased against it.

It doesn't. In fact, it pretty much ensures the opposite.

As a once proud and ignorant athiest, I can say it's a horrible belief. It only leads to a false sense of superiority and eventually confusion and deep depression. If you have no hope and nothing to believe in, life just comes off as so pointless and sad. I'm still not quite sure what I believe in, but I'm trying real hard to believe in something.

It is a wonderful thing, but believing that it will one day all dissapear (and it will) for eternity is just sad. I can't continue believing that. If you can believe in that and stay happy, more power to you.

Atheism is like any religion or philosophical belief. For some people it is the path to truth and enlightenment, others will no doubt seek and perhaps find answers elsewhere. I am inclined to view all of them as equally valid, after all, we are after all very different.
