Well I'd rather die in the cold since you just slowly fall asleep. May take a long time but at least it isn't painful but death is probably how you want it to be and like what others said something like sleeping.
i think that as soon as you die you wake up as a baby, but not like reincarnation, because your "soul" isnt transferred, you just live the live of yourself, only your not yourself
You don't exist... So its the end... Think of it as you don't exist...Atleast that all the hard scientific evidence suggests. Why humans ponder this so much is beyond me...
Our bodyshuts down sowe lose energy which causes our bodiesto fade into unconsciousness. We pass out but never wake up. When you sleep the body partially shuts down. When you die the body fully shuts down. That's why people fade when they die. They are falling asleep because their body doesn't have enough energy to remain conscious. OR it could be shock. Shock will render a person unconscious to reserve energy and relieve the person from the pain. Usually when you are in a state of severe pain or in the process of dying youbecome discombobulated and won'tbeaware of what's going on. The body basically dopes itself up. People who suffer from shock often have no awareness nor feeling of pain. If they are conscious they will try to get up and wonder around, just like someone whom is in a drug inducedstupor.
If you don't die from an injury or overdose or posion you die of old age. At an old age you just die in your sleep. Either way you are unaware of it.

For some its quick, for some its long....for some its a blessing, for some its unexpected...some leave behind misery, some leave love....and then you get reincarnated into something you hated so you can understand the other point of view. :P
