If I had a computer and I needed to choose the version of windows that I wanted. I would choose the most up to date version, therefore: I would choose Vista. I think you worded the question wrong. I'm guessing you meant "What version of windows do you like the best?"

Probably XP or 98se. Right now, Vista's a waste of money; once they work out the kinks, I'll get it. ;)

Windows 2000 was the best version they put out.  Ever.

More stable than anything else they put out, before or since

Yes that is very true. The first week or two can get pretty annoying, but when you figure out everything it get better!

Wha? It was nearly as good as NT.

A: It took forever to load

B: It was based on MS-DOS

C: Crashes, crashes, and more crashes

D: It revived viruses

E: It stayed on my PC even after I tried un-installing the ****er

F: Sometimes, the S.O.B wouldn't even run!

I like XP. But I hate the wasted power of Vista. All the clock and junk stuff on the side is a waste. And I love it when I have the CPU usuge gauge on and have the clock on it will be 30% CPU usage and when the clock is off it goes back to 5% CPU usage. I did that at Staples when I was trying out Vista. And it has a bunch of pointless other graphics and stuff. Just really pointless add ons.

Windows ME had to be the worst! I would say Windows XP has been the best version yet.

I agree with you there. when i had windows me it would crash on me during bootup and somtimes it would crash during install. if your thinking of windows 2000 as me then yes win2k was really good. but for the vote and the thread i'll have to say vista and my reasons are

1: easyer for ppl to look at for example i have a vision problem and when i looked at xp for a long time i would get a headache with vista they have toned down the colors. and imo vista is more stable then win2k , xp and xp pro. i have had it since it came out and i didnt have any problems with it. the 1st day i got it and instaled it every thing installed perfectly even when i installed programs that was designed for windows xp. they are runing just fine and every thing is going smoothly

so windows vista home prem takes the win for me (imo)

Basically, "nearly as good as NT".

Tried them both... oh I prefered my 95.

I like Vista, I can't really go back to XP after getting used to everything in Vista, such as the new explorer shell. I also like windows 3.1 for nostaligc value, I have a fully working 3.1 computer next to me right now.
